I think if you live in Surrey and have small kids this place would become your second home. I don't so I didn't go in the kids areas, but it was hopping and the kids seemed thrilled. The main exhibition had a lot going on in it, like a lot. A floor to ceiling amount of stuff. Any individual section was interesting and well put together. A serious attempt was clearly made to connect history to the present and to weave in many voices. But all together it was so overwhelming I'm not sure what I got out of it beyond a general sense of "Stuff! Things! Surrey! Tools! Stuff!"
I originally went because I wanted to see the Indigenous Hall but it was one small space, and then the Indigenous content in the exhibition just stopped.
But also its free so if you are around its worth a visit.

This is an excellent and very new museum. There are many fascinating glimpses into the history of the area. Before Remembrance Day there was a special display on Indian military serving under the British during WWI and WWII. Old photos and maps contributed to the display. And here is a quotation I just found elsewhere emphasizing the contribution of India: "Of the British empire’s colonies, India contributed the most men to the war effort – around 1.5 million – while self-governing nations within the Commonwealth, including Canada, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Newfoundland, contributed a further 1.3 million men."
There is not entrance fee to the museum! A great place to learn about Surrey and area.

Linda, the Textile Specialist, was very generous with her time, showing us the Honey Hooser textile collection and looms. If you are into textile arts, it’s heartening to see the heritage on display here and the active work of the guild weavers continuing.

The museum is great to interact and learn. Lego room was the best for me and my 11 years old daughter.

I still cannot believe that this museum had a great display of local history and for the best possible price -FREE!!. Not only do you get an idea of the early history and development of the Surrey area, but this place is also very "kid friendly" with a large play area and whole Lego Fun display and interaction centre.
I would have given this museum a higher rating if there was some sort of recognition of the churches that came into the Surrey area and the contribution they made to this community.

We went to the Museum of Surrey for the World of Wonders. Everything there is made of Lego. They are amazing! The event is suitable for families, especially with kids. My son enjoyed the visit very much.

How fortunate is Surrey to have this museum. It is gorgeous. When we went there was a huge lego exhibit that was so cool! Seriously Surrey you are lucky to have this gem. We will be back!

A terrific museum with lots of local history and wonderful displays. Also has travelling displays from North America and Europe.

My kids had an awesome time at the newly renovated Surrey Museum. They enjoyed seeing the dinosaurs and pretending in that room, which is small but still fun. Then we went to the scavenger hunt upstairs to learn some history, it’s a little boring for children that are under the age of six. The play room redeems everything. It is full of interactive fun play that your kids could spend a long time in (they enjoyed more than aquariums inside play area), so bring a picnic and enjoy cuz it’s FREE!!!!

Yes, we have a free parking lot. There is also two hour street parking throughout Cloverdale if it happens to be full.
