We went to every single fruit market in Keremeos to find tree-ripened peaches. It was simply impossible to find. We finally bought peaches at Mariposa and tried our best to get the ripest possible, but the peaches were all green and 5 days later still impossible to eat and not juicy. We were looking for the taste of 'sunshine' that comes from tree-ripened fruit. That thing that we wait all year to have again!! The peaches were no different than buying them in the winter when you have fruit that is picked green from the south and shipped here :

We have been shopping here for fruit for canning since 2004. We have noticed the quality of fruit has been going down over the years and the price going up. Recently we purchased 40 lbs of "freestone" peaches for canning. Unfortunately, these were NOT freestone peaches. Trying to pit and slice 40 lbs of peaches for canning when they were NOT freestone was a nightmare. We normally get 19 jars of peaches from 40 lbs. Due to the wastage from not being freestone, we only got 16 jars.
Mariposa has lost some very loyal customers due to this. We thought perhaps only one box was mislabelled in error, however, when they were both mislabelled we realized this was just a dupe to get customers to pay top dollar for a product that was not as labelled. We'll be finding a new fruit market to spend our money at in the future. Very disappointing!!!

This is my favourite Keremeos fruit stand, and I stop here every time I drive through town. Although this time I was there in July, I especially like to visit in the fall when they have mountains of pumpkins and squash as well as all the late summer fruit. The staff are friendly and the place is nice and clean. It's conveniently located on the south end of town, for people who've been to the Okanagan and are returning home to the Fraser Valley and Vancouver area.

Spent the day at this fruit stand / orchard working on a mobile juicing trailer. This area is beautiful! The fruit stand has so many options of fruit and veggies to choose from. We visited mid October, so it was perfect timing for color. The owner was friendly and we even ordered some samosas while we took a break from work. Her homemade chutney is delicious.

Went to Mariposa two weeks ago to grab three pumpkins always like to see there display. One ended rotting within a week, now another one is rotten. Not only were they very expensive but they didn’t even last 2 weeks.....

We head to Keromeos every Sept to load up on tomatoes squash garlic and other fruits and veggies. We always go to Mariposa. Best prices and good quality products

We stopped at Mariposa Fruit stand to pick up apples peaches and pears. Peaches and pears have been good so far that is why I gave this place one star. The apples however were discussing. Within three days of purchasing, the apples began peeling themselves and the fruit is chalky. I would take them back but my journey is not a short one. We bought to full bags of apples that now reside in my organics bin.

Bought a water melon that was rotten. 45 minutes later called to get a different one and the lady said we didn't buy it there because they hadn't sold any melon in the last 3 hours. Proved we had, and she said, what do you want me to do, mail you a melon? Won't be necessary, we're 5 minutes away and we are bringing it back. She argued again and called us liars and finally gave us our money back saying let's get this over with then. Like we're trying to scam her out of 7 dollars. She said people do that. I think their motto Is, Too bad so sad we've got your money and we're keeping it.

Good selection of staple items like syrups, jams and honey. Lots to see and hot foods. Service was good as well.

They have a good selection of Jams and Honeys as well as syrups. They do sell hot food and the service was not to bad.
