enjoy eating in the restaurant here. The views from it over this lovely golf course , are excellent. They have bistro type food during the day but Mon/Fri evening have restauarant meals. Very good quality, excellent portion size.

It my second visit to Auckland, NZ and the first golf course I played was Huapai, and it did not disappoint as on this time I had to go and play it again. The course was in good condition and the greens were rolling true. The staff there were very friendly and helpful and the bar/ restaurant at the club house is a great way to sit and enjoy after round food and drinks with the guys you just played a round with. It's a tight challenging course treelined, and one that you can't just smash the Driver (big dog) every hole, you need to think your way around a little. Course management is a must to score well here. Highly recommend that if your in Massey North of Auckland, go and have a round there and you might just love it.

We were visitors to Kumeu and the restaurant at this place was recommended, really just a separate area to eat a bar meal which was fine. The waitress was really nice and friendly and service was great, without taking too long for our meals to come out, my wife and I both ordered a steak.....mine was OK but my wifes medium rare steak was almost completely raw. It was sorted by the waitress but came back half the size so we imagine they just cut the gristle etc off and recooked it. Meal was generally a wee bit disappointing but we were tired and hungry and decided we would try somewhere else the next night instead of coming back here.

We are locals and enjoy eating in the restaurant here. The views from it over this lovely golf course , are excellent. They have bistro type food during the day but Mon/Fri evening have restauarant meals. Very good quality, excellent portion size. I repeatedly get their surf and turf($21) whichis is great. Deserts for $7 also very reasonable and wine at $7 a glass

We had Xmas lunch here with a group. The meal was ok nothing fancy. The meats were hot ham and lamb . The salad was ok not much in it and the dessert was bought Xmas pudding . The trifle just looked awful . The Xmas cake was made by a member who was having the luncheon which was nice . Atmosphere was good nice outlook onto the golf course .

Have enjoyed a lovely meal and have been back several times with the same friends.
We are all a new residents to Riverhead and enjoy going to the club for a tasty meal on Wednesday or Friday evening.

Love this place. Can be wet and slippery in parts but overall a great course . Good facilities and friendly atmosphere.

A very pleasant place to have a reasonably price lunch , a beer and a wine. Lovely outlook over the golf club ,, with a pleasing range of good food from sandwiches to fish and chips, makes a change from the usual cafe culture. most pleasant staff, and if you are inclined there are poker machines. You can look up the menu and open hours online.

I've just completed a year's membership at Huapai and loved my time there. It's great value for money given that the course layout is both interesting and challenging. The greens are also very good most of the year. I was also very impressed at the ongoing work to improve the course and make it more playable all year round.
You couldn't ask for a nicer course owner in Baldy and the members are a great laugh. I was sad to leave but just wanted to try somewhere else for a year. I'll probably be back at some point.
The only reason that it loses a star is because the fairways do dry out in the summer. The only way around that is fairway sprinklers so it's a big ask for a club that doesn't charge much for membership.
