We visited here as part of the Cambridge open day for students. No prior booking. Probably the most friendly and warm welcome we got all day. A lovely tour by an ex student over many buildings with loads of questions. Saw rooms, eating facilities and the library. Central and close to all the amenities and a very old college. This is one you may not know but is super impressive. Beautiful gardens as well as buildings and a lovely vibe about the place. Impressive

The fourth oldest college of Cambridge and definitely one of the grandest in terms of Nobel Laureates and monumental buildings. The main building with tall narrow windows and blind arcades remind of the Flemish architecture in Belgium and Netherlands. The three-sided Caius Court is really four sides as the fourth is blocked of from Senate House Passage by a wall and gatehouse

A beautiful and peaceful college in the heart of Cambridge. Tree Court is very relaxing and Gonville and Caius courts are both scenic. The Chapel is worth a visit as well. I am an ‘old boy’ and can say what a lot it meant to me

Every time we visit Cambridge it seems to be only King's College that is regularly open and that is because its magnificent chapel is so popular.
We were passing Gonville and Caius and a student told us about a lunchtime recital in the auditorium. It seemed an opportunity too good to miss.
The two musicians played the piano and clarinet and there were pieces by Mozart and Weber, as well as compositions by three of the students.
We felt privileged to be able to listen to such talent - and to be allowed inside the college.
We had a look in the chapel before leaving, a beautiful building among so many other beautiful buildings.
Perhaps someone can explain why the colleges are so rarely open to the public? I am not expecting to see accommodation or other private areas, just the chapels.

Rarely is something so fabulous hidden in plain sight! This college, so rich in history, is wedged between Trinity and King‘s, and despite it being in plain sight, most tourists just walk by. Some are turned off by the fact that the magnificent gate is locked. Well, it always is because the entrance to the college actually is in Trinity Street, opposite The Michaelhouse Café...
The college has three stunning courts, the first being the impressive Tree Court, where several of the interesting little monuments etc. Are located, including the Crick memorial right by the Great Gate. Read up on the college, it is worth it. It will also make you appreciate the three gates of virtue, humility and honour (the latter being absolutely spectacular, with a great view of King‘s Chapel) much more. Visit the chapel, and plan to attend an Evensong if you can, even if you are not religious. The choir is one of the best in Cambridge. Have a walk around in this calm oasis in the centre of town - you will not be disappointed.

Has three courts, each with a name and one has the infamous sundial gate which graduating students walk through. The chapel is well worth a visit. It seems more squeezed in between the Senate and other colleges than most. Has a warm stone feeling unlike some of the others are well.

同じ通り沿いのKing's Collegeは構内の見学が有料なのに対して、こちらのGonville and Caius Collegeは無料で構内を見学させてくれました。チャペルの中も見ることができました。コレッジの中は本当に素晴らしく、一見の価値があります。

Went to Choral Evensong. Beautiful and the Sermon thought provoking by visiting priest.Have been to Oxford colleges and another at Cambridge but we felt this was very good indeed.

Beautiful music by a talented choir in the lovely and intimate setting of the college chapel. Provides a delightful counterpoint to a Kings College performance - both are exquisite but in different ways.
