希望以后能来这里上学吧哈哈哈哈，世界顶级学府就是不一样！来这边交通也比较方便，在英国待了半个月吧，全程坐火车，没想到这边火车是非常方便的。在trainpal买了railcard，最近输RC777F这个码还打八折，交通上来说是没问题的，希望能帮到来英国玩的其他小伙伴！

路线：从离你最近的火车站出发，直奔剑桥站，记得一定不要买成剑桥南站或者北站，有点远。（另外，我是从trainpal 上买的raildcard ，便宜好多。不用搞那么多复杂的打折卡，在trainpal 上输入RC777E 就能有20%的折扣。便宜不占白不占啊）
下车后，可以坐1路或者7路到City centre，然后步行到剑桥大学以及周围景点即可。剑桥不大，步行我觉得就完全OK。
欧洲的校园建筑长得差不多，看多了会审美疲劳，选几个经典的就可以了。
①数学桥：据说是全用三角形架构原理固定，没有额外的钉子固定。
②国王学院：需要买票，但是是剑桥大学的核心学院值得一看！学生证买票有优惠。
③叹息桥：据说挂科的学生都来这里叹息哈哈哈
④Quayside-坐船看景点，没有自己逛体验好，但是可以体验一下

从小就知道英国有2个著名的学府，围绕他们的故事很多。虽然很多人都不可能在这里学习，但是来英国就一定要感受下这里的气氛。体验一下在这里学习生活是怎么样的。

世界现存第四古老的大学。剑桥大学的起源为一群牛津大学的学者，因与牛津市民发生冲突而移居至剑桥。剑桥与牛津这两所在中世纪建立的英国大学，在校务运作、学术声望、社会地位等多方面都非常相似，经常合称为「牛剑」。

剑桥学校提供的学生导游服务非常值得，有缘遇到凯凯，一位优秀的医学院学生，陪着一路讲解了剑桥几个比较有名的学院的历史和特色，轻松的分享让孩子不知不觉对这个世界知名的学校有了更直观的理解，也因此对优秀有了和以往不一样的理解。谢谢凯凯啦。

剑桥大学的宣传标语是“剑桥——安格利亚鲁斯金大学之家”，这个霸气的标语看起来有点厚脸皮，但的确是令人尊敬，明显是要引起大家的关注。大部分的大学都允许旅游团来参观，但是你必须在旅游信息中心提前预订。我们个人最喜欢的是彭布罗克和科珀斯克里斯蒂，但其他人可能会不一样。来过三次，参观的地方都有限，但是都能学到很多东西，只是在围绕着大学走走，即使在外部都惊叹这里的壮观。圣约翰斯在这方面真的很适合。

Hi I have booked a trip to London from 12/22 to 12/28 and plan to visit both university of Cambridge and Oxford. Is University of Cambridge/Oxford open on 12/24 or 12/26? My daughter wants to pay visit to these two world famous universities and Kings college since she wrote a paper about Rosalind Franklin this summer. Are the university campuses open to public during those two days? Thanks a lot!

The campuses are open for strolling around since they are part of the towns/villages. However, if you want to gain entrance to a specific college or building, there are restrictions whether it is Christmas eve or Boxing Day or any day.
You can easily go to Oxford from Paddington Station. The tickets are relatively inexpensive. To visit Cambridge, you can catch the the bus from Victoria Station or Stratford City. These tickets are also not forbiddingly expensive.
Both universities are beautiful. I personally prefer Oxford University. See my review from October/November 2015.
If you have time, visit both universities because they will inspire your child to strive and work hard. They have great tee shirts and sweatshirts to buy as keepsakes.
Plan to spend one day on each campus. You won't regret.

I love the history and magnificence of both Oxford and Cambridge. Deb and I will be traveling by train out of London and also wish to enjoy one of the aforementioned lovely villages, perhaps for lunch,this September. Must we purchase reserved tickets? I hope my answer is not too late.
Go to Paddington Station to buy train tickets to Oxford. You can also puchase online. Trains to and from Oxford to Central London run all day long. Very efficient.
You can pick up a bus from Victoria Station or Stratford City to visit Cambridge. This schedule is less extensive. You can buy online.
Prices of the tickets are reasonable. Reservations are not required, as far as I know. We just bought and hopped on.
Both universities are worth the visits. They are absolutely gorgeous.

We plan to be in Cambridge next week for four days. Is there theatre we should see? Are there special exhibits in the museums? I understand that the Illumination will be finished by the 18th of Feb. Does the Corn Exchange have concerts you would recommend. I guess I'd be best getting some weekly publication with exhibits/concerts/events. Can you recommend the best publication for current events?
