Visiting for the day, I came out of the railway station and quite literally went straight onto the hop on hop off bus! It’s a very good way to get an overview of the city and to help you decide what to explore in more detail later. The commentary is excellent, with plenty of nice local detail which would be hard to find otherwise, and the buses have been timed to coincide with the half hour river cruises in the summer too, which is a nice touch (you can buy a combination ticket). I didn’t do the river cruise on this occasion.

We went on this bus tour today and I don’t know if the two extra males on the bus were employees of the company or friends of the driver but they talked very loudly throughout the journey making it difficult to hear what was being said by the narrator. I get that they may have heard the tour multiple times but us paying customers hadn’t and it was really unprofessional of them and ruined the trip for us. They either need to stop staff/friends talking or provide earphones for customers.

Had pre booked but unfortunately staff at train station directed us to wrong bus stop! However once we found the correct one had a thoroughly enjoyable hour long tour of the city. Would definitely recommend with perhaps more direction boards at the station.

Bought a one day hop-on-hop-off ticket online for my wife and I while we were in Chester for a couple of days. Despite what it says on the website about the tickets being sent immediately, we got a booking confirmation but no tickets. The tickets were not emailed to us until two days later by which time we were back home. I Tried their online help on the day - but that was no help -it just kept saying the tickets works be sent immediately and of course I couldn’t find a way of speaking to a real person.
I applied for a remind but had to fight for it - but eventually succeeded after at first being refused. All in all a totally hopeless service. We will avoid it in future

This was so good! There is so much to see and do in Chester but it can be difficult to orientate yourself - this made it possible for me to feel that I knew my way around the city and so I could plan my days accordingly. The drivers were so kind and so accommodating - one lady driver in particular. I cannot praise this company highly enough.

Gaius our roman Legionnaire and tour guide was helpful, informative and fun. Learnt about life of Roman soldiers in that environment . Highly recommend it.

We took a combined HOHO and river boat trip in Chester recently. We were very lucky with the weather so it was pleasant to sit in the open part of the upper deck. Commentary is via loudspeakers rather than the usual headphones, and was clear and audible. The driver was friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed our bus ride!

Excellent weather for our wonderful tour of Chester today.
Excellent commentary the tour was most interesting.
Our driver Adam was friendly and professional service with a smile is always appreciated.
The tour bus was clean, tidy and performed faultlessly.

Our first impression of the facility was poor as 3 different attempts to make contact about non arrival of the bus met with a negative response. Later in the day we were successful in finding a designated stop and the bus arrived on time.
Very favourably impressed with the driver and the accompanying recorded tour guide was excellent. Spoke very clearly and the reduced price for seniors made this an excellent experience.

Hi Peter,
All of our buses are low floor accessible and we have a space for wheelchairs. We do accept scooters that are within certain limits.
Class 2 scooters with 3 or 4 wheels will be accepted provided
they are no more than 600mm wide and 1000mm long, with a
turning radius not exceeding 1200mm.
If you would like to double check before you travel can you give our Chester depot a call they will be more than happy to assist you or even meet you at the bus stop to ensure your scooter is safe to travel.

Hi Sharon,
One accompanied, well-behaved dog or other small animal which will not be a danger or a nuisance for other customers or our staff is allowed to travel with you on our buses at the discretion of the driver who may reasonably decide where on the bus the animal is best carried.
Where appropriate, dogs must be muzzled or put on a lead in accordance with the Dangerous Dogs Act. Small animals must be caged, boxed or kept on a lead. Any animal carried must remain under control and must not be allowed to sit on the seats.
If you bring an animal onto a bus, you will be held responsible for any damage, loss or injury arising from its presence on the bus.
Guide dogs, hearing or assistance dogs accompanying registered disabled persons are carried free of charge at any time. Assistance dogs should wear their harness or identification jacket when travelling.

We would like to visit Chester for a sight seeing tour,bus and boat.My wife,s father is dependant on a 4 wheel walker and my wife and her mother use sticks for support.There will be 5 of us.Need prices of the bus boat tour.We have not picked a date but it will be sometime this week
