I was booked on an A K wildlife cruise trip on 8th September 2024. At the beginning of September my husband received an email cancelling the trip and promising a full refund. Nothing has been refunded and now their phone no is not working and Google says temporarily closed. Does anyone know what's happening?

The crew were amazing and I can't fault the experience.
We saw exactly what we came to see, minkie whale and dolphins and a ton of wildlife....
The only thing that was a total let down for the whole experience was how rude and disrespectful the captain was to his young female crew member and how he bullied me a single mum of two boys, he wanted me to sit the other side of the boat to my kids, one of which has learning disabilities....
Fortunately he went out the way and left us with the lovely crew.
Oh and you must ASK to use the toilet, repeated many, many times so pee before you go......

Wonderful cruise and a must try during Falmouth visit for anyone. Alex and team are very energetic and always ready to help. The captain made sure the team can view the Dolphins through the cameras built into the boat as well. Very memorable moment of our lifetime seeing 30 to 40 dolphins swimming off the coast.

AK Wildlife cruises helped my husband and I to book this cruise last minute which we appreciated so much! We loved the toor and saw dolphins, seals, seabirds and more! Thank you!!!

I would love to say we had a great trip, but unfortunately it was spoilt right from the start by Keith who had a serious attitude problem. He was extremely rude and not only had a chip on his shoulder but the fish and whale to go with it. He dictated that all passengers should use the clock code when reporting sightings, but then didn't bother himself. Told us that all passengers had to be seated while the boat was moving, but then didn't bother asking or informing us that he was moving the boat.
Apart from Keith is was a pleasant day, but because of Keith's attitude we wouldn't bother going back again and I am sure there are many other companies doing the same trips with happier staff.

A really great wild life experience with Captain Keith and his team of Elsa and Ben. A very knowledgeable and able team who, after our initial safety and wild life briefing took us out down Carrick Roads, and then out along coast westwards towards the Lizard. From his top deck vantage and control point, Captain Keith kept us well informed as to what we might see and also how to increase our chances of seeing wild life. Constant vigilance and constant scanning of the sea and sky - including behind us. The reason is of course that unlike a zoo - these are wild animals, not neatly penned but free to roam and play on their three dimensional playground, whether that is the sky above or the sea below. A key indicator of activity and things to see is often the interface between the two worlds - with sea birds picking up by sight and smell activity at or just below the surface.
These were all valuable insights built up over years of experience by the Captain. The other benefit we gained was his incredible knowledge and experience of the area - his encyclopedic knowledge of tides, undersea structures, currents and the habits of the wild life in living their daily life of hunting, feeding, playing etc. in this world. Given that we are in a "Zoo" without pens - his insights were invaluable to being in just the right place to see a wide range of birds and animals.
By definition a wild life cruise is what it says on the tin - therefore there can be no guarantees as to to sightings. However, Captain Keith, his team and his boat will you give you the best chance possible of an amazing adventure into the amazing sea world of south Cornwall - you will come back with loads of memories and a desire for the next trip!

Captain Keith and his crew, gave us nearly 4 hours (it was a booked 3 hour trip). of amazing sights.
They are all very passionate about what they do, and we were lucky to see dolphins, swimming alongside us, many, many sea birds, porpoise and a couple of seals and jellyfish..
This cruise is great…BUT, you must remember…just like a safari, you cannot guarantee that the animals will show themselves.
So please don’t put them down if you don’t get to see what you want to see…..This is a wildlife cruise…not a sightseeing cruise..
We were a party of 4, and we all take away some wonderful memories, and have already decided, that next time we are near Falmouth, we are all certainly booking again.

Had an excellent 4hr trip wildlife watching in glorious sunshine. Keith and his crew were very knowledgeable and we learned so much whilst we were on the boat. Its clear that he has such a passion for wildlife and the waters around Falmouth. Will definitely be booking again when we return to Cornwall.

Best experience with really knowledgeable crew. Captain Keith, a perfect gentleman and clearly very passionate. Amazing. We saw so many dolphins, porpoise, seals and incredible sea birds. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

A more experienced captain would have more respect for other anchored vessels than to steam through the middle at speed leaving a large wake and in our case causing a lunch to fall into our bilge. A completely unnecessary course & speed only taken to entertain paying customers. A display of extremely poor seamanship off Porthbeor Beach a couple of weeks ago.
My question is why do such a stupid thing?

Thank you for your message . Sadly I have only just received it . Yes happily my dedicated wildlife cruises are still available daily throughout the week . Right up until, the 10th of December when Free Spirit is scheduled to come out of the water for her annual maintenance and TLC.
In fact I’m just about to head offshore now .

There was a well behaved spaniel on the boat for our trip but you may want to talk to the captain if you have a large dog.
