I’d had one lesson 13 years ago so had forgotten the basics. The staff were so friendly, remembered everyone’s names when in the waves and gave one-to-one coaching. I managed to stand up 4 times!

Joe and Joel could not have been more welcoming and skilled at instruction and at taking our own limited abilities forward.
We did a session on Saturday with Joe and were so impressed we immediately booked for the Sunday too.
A very polished surf school model with arguably two of the most experienced surf instructors in England. Fantastic cafe also “Layback Cofee and Surf shop” in Crantock St. Ideal for us to replenish our spent calories and all your surf essential accessories all on site too.
Changing, shower, toilet and Towelling Robies also provided made our weekend of surf tuition absolutely Top Drawer and we felt well looked after.
Joe’s style of tuition, ethos, warm-up exercises and pearls of wisdom throughout really helped our small group to take our surfing to the next level and beyond actually. We will definitely be rebooking again. Thank you Joe, Joel and Noah !!

We had a family lesson in a group of four (two adults and two kids) and had a great experience.
We were taught by Ben who was an excellent instructor, he made everything very clear and easy to understand beforehand and was great with us in the water too.
As beginners we didn't know how much we would be able to achieve in a single lesson, but we all quickly built up our confidence and ability and managed to do a lot more than we expected.
It's a great beach for surfing, a great group of instructors, and there's also a (very welcome) cafe waiting at the end to refuel afterwards!
Recommended.

Booked this for the kids online. Both really enjoyed it.
Joel was very tentative making sure everyone had a good lesson and was happy for any feedback given.
The hangout hut offers great food and coffees and again great service would highly recommend and would defo use this surf school again.

My daughter took two private lessons (the first as only student, the second in a group of three students) at Fistral beach with Joe. A super efficient, fun and safe way to learn basics of surfing!

Excellent surfing coaches and the instructor made it great fun and had a lot of energy. Would recommend it. Made sure we all knew the safety aspects and then plenty of help in the water.

Booking was so simple, staff greated us happily. Very informative. Max was our instructor and very professional and a great morale booster. Will definitely choose these again.

Had a great morning learning to surf and managed to catch a few waves successfully by the end of the lesson as did 15 + 13 year old kids. Good car parking and nice coffee and food from the hut

These guys were amazing from the very first moment we arrived, right down to the car park attendant 😁 Such great senses of humour and really welcoming. Professional and all about getting you in the water and experiencing it for yourself. We have never surfed before and felt incredibly safe and managed to get up more than once too in our 2 hour lesson. 2 hours is just the right length of time, anymore and it’s just too tiring to really make the most of it. We loved every minute of it and the team should be really proud of what they offer in an incredibly beautiful spot😁

Hi Sid,
Yes you have the a small little glamping campsite called coastal valley, the watergate bay touring park, penvose campsite and the tregurian camping and caravaning club. All are 3-4 min drive from us or a 20 min coastal walk.

Hi lorry,
It's around about a 3 minute walk down a very gradual coast path to the beach. The views on the way down are pretty special.
