Just had the true pleasure of seeing this fantastic youth theatre perform Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour dreamcoat at the amazing Minack Theatre, Porthcurno. We were blessed with lovely sunny weather on Saturday, which made the whole experience truly memorable. For visitors to Cornwall, you MUST..MUST..MUST ..visit The Minack Theatre. And you MUST try to get to see Kidsrus... perform ANYTHING! ANYWHERE ! This group , of FORTY FIVE (!) young actors yet again were outstanding. The production was superb. The singing was a joy. The "orchestra" was wonderful.... and then the kids on stage. AMAZI😲😲NG. There was a lovely twist to the show which should remain a secret.. as only Theatre goers deserve to know and remember. 😂 😂. Congratulations to everyone at KidsrUs, connected with this production. You ALL deserve gold Medals. You continue the outstanding record of producing wonderful shows for the public. Please.. NEVER STOP. And, thankyou for all the effort, practice training, long nights in preparing for the Minack. When are you being invited to the West End?

Absolutely incredible! I've been going to watch their performances since 2014, and they never disappoint! The amazing level of professionalism, talent and detail blows me away every time! Five Star!

Frozen the Musical
Wow!! What a show and to make it magical before Xmas . Yet again this theatre pulls another amazing production. The theatre itself has been decorated and dressed impressively. The Oakens shack that sells slushies and merchandise was a really clever touch . The hallways with dark red colours and coats or armour and the picture frames all fitted the theme, the team that spent the time and effort behind the scenes deserves applause. I can only imagine the hours of hard work.
To have the Broadway Elsa speak on the tannoy set the excitement for what was to happen . The show itself was incredible. The characters all so professional. Elsa and Anna just had an amazing chemistry it was beautiful both held their own in these lead roles, they had a presence and were professional and costumes were amazing. The voice of Elsa in 'Let it go' and the dress change so slick was fit for the West End. The whole cast so good . Particular notice to the duo Pabbie and Bulda, Oaken and Sven, Hans and Christoff and Olaf. The characterisations of their roles were spot on.
No wonder this was a sell out it speaks for itself.

Both shows I’ve seen are amazing! So professionally done, so well cast and humorous. My 4 year old also absolutely loves it! Will be back every year

WOW! What an incredible show from start to finish.
There is so much going on, the most amazing singing, dancing & acting without even mentioning the little touches like snow falling, fireworks, confetti cannons and the incredible change in Elsa’s dress.
The children thought this was the most magical thing in the world, the theatre felt like you were in a magical land, we particularly liked Oaken’s shop!
We loved watching Elsa and Anna grow and seeing the different actors appear through these stages - so clever and such talented young ladies.
The puppets were fab, another big hit with the kids.
So much energy and fun!
What a talented group of young adults, West End level performances from all of the main characters, you should be very proud!
Thank you for making us feel extra festive this year.

Every time we come to Cornwall, we visit this fantastic theatre group. This year we were lucky enough to see the performance ofLes Miserables and it was as good as ever. The only problem we found was that the theatre was not totally full, it is such a shame as the performance deserved a full audience.

Honestly I was so taken aback by the quality of talent these kids have! This show was better than some shows I’ve watched at larger famous venues. Absolutely fab!

We saw Les Mis and Annie 2 days apart! They were both amazing and all of our family absolutely loved it. Great value for money. The staff are always very friendly, kind and helpful too. It’s one of the things we always look forward to so much when holidaying in St. Ives. Can’t wait for next year!

We love Les Mis and when we saw it was being shown in St Ives we jumped at the chance. Although regular visitors to the St Ives area we had not visited the the theatre before so was a little bit sceptical about a kids performance. Any scepticism was soon dismissed and we were blown away by the whole performance! I think as it is classed a the 'school edition' we were expecting a shorter show but not so - the full show and so professionally performed!! The theatre itself (an old chapel) is also lovely with super supporting volunteers giving you the full 'West End' experience offering ice creams, snacks, drinks, merchandise, huge show programmes and even a raffle - they even all wear sparkly jackets. Well done Kids R Us.....we'll definitely be back!!!!!

We visited last year to see Matilda and returned this year to see Annie. It was fabulous, thoroughly enjoyed by 3 generations. We will be back next year

Although the content is quite racy at times, much of the innuendo goes over the heads of very young children. However it may be a difficult conversation for parents after a performance trying to explain why the princesses were behaving the way they did and sung what they did.😁😁

I think Mary Poppins would be the best one, and maybe get a seat on the end of a row if you need to have a walk around outside if your little one needs a brief leg stretch!
I’d say the stalls for that reason.

St Ives Theatre seats 321, so isn't too big. All seats provide a good view of the stage. Downstairs in the stalls you are closer to the action and feel more a part of it. Up in the balcony you get a better view of the staging, looking down on the action. Give the box office a call to discuss your specific requirements.
