We went yesterday, what a lovely walk with the dog. Had a lovely chat with the owner he must keep very busy doing it all basically on his own. Beautiful location. Only gave 4 stars because we need to come back earlier in the year to see everything in bloom . Felt like we had the place to ourselves. Highly recommend.

What a fabulous place. A perfect combination between a garden and a wild space. Lots of plants to see in a large area, very tranquil and great amount of plants to buy at a reasonable price. Really worth a visit.

We came at end of season but it didn't matter as the trees are lovely with such a variety. The arrangement of planting was really well done to give different country feel. The walks were great. We saw a cormorant in one of the many ponds, but we couldn't finish it all. I would rate it up with the best National Trust experiences. The owners were great and you really get a feel for the work and love that has gone into creating this place. Their garden centre is no frills but the large selection of plants were first class. Amazing the council don't push this as a major attraction. One of the best things we did in our Devon holiday. Also dogs allowed on lead.

Set in an idyllic valley close to Dartmouth. These gardens have a variety of different areas, such as wildflower meadows, Mediterranean plantings, woodland and wetlands with streams and lakes. Wide mown pathways with plenty of seating areas to enjoy the views and tranquility. The gardens are full of wildlife and I recommend it for anyone who loves nature and gardens. There is a plant nurseries with interesting very reasonably priced plants. The friendly owner and creator of the garden told us that the garden is at its height in Autumn for the colours , and in Springtime with the Magnolias and Camellias in bloom. We will definitely return.

What an incredible place. Such a tranquil oasis of 43 acres of garden with so many different areas and paths to discover. Well laid out and peaceful with lakes, ponds filled with dragonfly, rustic seats in abundance to soak in the views, shady areas to walk and sit and sunny areas to watch the world go by. The best bit...noone is here! Shhh don't tell everyone about this gem near Dartmouth! Honestly if you want a super day out just meandering paths and seeing the wildlife and vast array of plants (the blackberries are huge!!) this place is for you. Take a picnic, let the kids roam and marvel at the incredible work this couple have done. Don't forget to buy a plant at their huge polytunnels on the way back!

A secret gem; two valleys hidden away just behind Dartmouth. Extensive and interesting planting, total peace and tranquillity and a good nursery stacked with some excellent plants. Clearly the life time passion of the owner who's extremely knowledgeable about the multitude of trees, shrubs and plants that he's sewn and planted over the last forty years. He maintains it himself with minimal help so don't expect Kew like perfection. But it's a wonderful spot. We shall return in the spring to see all the blossoms.

Fast Rabbit is a stunning valley of natural beauty. Hundreds of plants fit perfectly amongst the natural landscape creating a stunning vista. It’s a garden that harmonises both the common manicurisation of a modern park/garden with the untouched nature of a wildlife reserve. I 100% recommend to anyone that appreciate the natural wonders wildlife and plants.

Visited Fast Rabbit after a friends recommendation. My mum, who is a keen gardener loved it. The gardens are set either side of a valley with meandering path ways among beautiful planted areas. At the bottom is small lake with an abundance of water lilies. Great colors through out the gardens which obviously change with the seasons
At the entrance there is a large polly tunnel filled with great specimens of the plants seen in the garden, these are reasonably priced and look extremely healthy. If you are looking to buy new plants this is the place to go.

This is an absolute hidden gem. Breathtaking planting, vistas and nature. It has a number of gorgeous ponds with fish, lillies and dragonflies to enjoy. The Mediterranean terraces are stunning and give lovely views of the surrounding area. Very reasonable too, would highly recommend!

Yes dogs are welcome but on leads please. Many birds are nesting and are likely to abandon their nests if disturbed. We have just lost our resident geese with five abandoned eggs after one visitor allowed his dog to swim the lake and attack the geese.
However you are very welcome and I hope you enjoy your visit

There are two points of access of access to the Garden,both wheelchair accessible. The lower gives almost level access to the lake and the higher to the gazebo and overview of a different part of the Garden. The paths are all grassed and especially the lower valley can become wet and soft. Some wheelchairs have wide wheels but others narrow and suitable for hard dry surfaces only. It is wise to check in at the garden centre to discuss.

Dear Chorlton Girl.I am sorry you were both shocked and disappointed. Did you spend any time looking at the garden? I am responsible for posting the four "clothing optional" days on the visitor information page of the website so am surprised you failed to find it. I know the owner of the garden would be delighted to give you a free guided tour on one of the 360 clothing compulsory days to alleviate your disappointment.
