I bought tickets to see the Message in a Bottle dance production as a treat for my wife.
The story & contemporary/break dancing revolves around a story written using many of Sting's songs.
Being very partial to Sting's music I loved the soundtrack but was amazed by the dancers.
They were so good and, being in the 2nd row of the stalls, we could hear how hard they were working to entertain the audience.
It resulted in me having goosebumps & tears at varius points of the show.
Brilliant show not to be missed.

My son and daughter in-law had thier graduation here yesterday. Unfortunately my granddaughter didn't take to kindly to the busy crowd and noise. Thankfully the to the amazing kind hard working team that went out of way, I was able to see my son and daughter in-law graduate.

Our first, but certainly not our last, visit to this wonderful contemporary theatre venue. Made even more special by welcoming, warm, friendly theatre staff who excelled in every aspect. Large, spacious, tiered floors made getting around the auditorium easy. The extremely popular production of BRB's Swan Lake ballet was beautifully staged and very well received and applauded by a full-to-capacity audience. Thank you TRP for your theatre, the very helpful and efficient Box Office agents, who made our reservations via telephone and every member of the theatre staff who ensured our visit was both pleasant and memorable. See you next year for Sleeping Beauty.

I went to see Swan Lake last night with a group of friends, the ballet and music was absolutely amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
I recently had a total hip replacement, which obviously wasn't expected when I purchased my ticket.
I wasn't able to sit in my allocated seat in the Circle door 11.
The girl on the door, Sam, couldn't have been more helpful and kind if she tried. She asked if there were any spare aisle seats (for extra leg room) unfortunately, for me, it was a full house and no spare seats.
She then asked me if I was able to sit on a high stool and guided me (& my two crutches)to the viewing gallery which offered the perfect solution to my health issue.
I just wanted to publicly thank Sam for her kindness and her genuinely friendly attitude to everyone coming into door 11, which I observed whilst waiting for a resolution to my issue.

Do not park in the Theatre Royal Car Park!
A team of surly, unhelpful attendants work in a team to give out Fixed Penalty Notices. Even when cash is offered, they refuse to accept payment AND repeated say “Can’t let you in for free” even when you want to pay.
Imagine all that before you even enter the theatre!

Lost count of the amount of emails, explaining that the car park next to the theatre was now payment by App...thank you.
You forgot to mention the awful roadworks, that caused a massive delay (50 mins), and we arrived late... and I got speeding ticket too as I was trying to arrive on time.
You had some very noisy people in the audience, very back row in the middle, your tall security bloke was useless. He could here theme, but he did nothing, also his walkie talkie kept having talking coming through! during the show!
Won't bother coming the to theatre again, you really need to communicate better regarding huge roadworks and also some earphones for security, we don't want the hear their communications.

The theatre royal was fantastic as per normal with efficient friendly staff
On the panto itself Shane Richie was hilarious really really good one of the best I’ve seen. The chemistry he had with the king was amazing, the lady who played the villain had a fantastic voice the only let down was Matt Terry who has the charisma of a muddy puddle.
Looking forward to goldie locks and the three bears.

First time visit to the Theatre for the panto, lovely space and good seats, staff were very nice. Loved the panto and Shane Richie was so funny.

Hi there, to see a dance production would you recommend viewing from central middle stalls (row H), row D or the AA seats? Have not seen NDT2 for 15 years and am now bringing my daughters and would love the best view possible … any advice?

Do not sit too close to the stage if sitting in the stalls, centrally advised. However if you can upgrade to the circle centrally it’s far better.

Hi. Does anyone know how restricted the view is from seats Q1 and Q2 in the stalls and seats GG 1 and 2 in the circle. Thanks

The bench seats are restricted leg wise but a good view. You can also stand if you got uncomfortable. I would not say the bench seats were worth £30 though!
