Take a torch if walking and make sure you have lights

Hi All if your using route 27 for recreation please note no lights are working in the Shaugh Prior tunnel. So please take a torch if you intend to go through.

Lovely route

It is my first so long route in my life. I think the best in Plymouth area. So beautiful countryside, you can see also moors! I'm sure ,you will be happy if you like some kind of exercise. Go to see it :)

100 miles in a day

this is a great way to see the country by bike i done the route in a day which was about 104miles i think two days or more would be more relaxing depending on ability and i cant wait to try more national cycle routes this is the best idea i have come across in years i think 51% was traffic free the rest were on quite back roads except one small section which was on a faster b road plenty of places to stay and eat and plenty to see on the route take the sustrans map this makes life easer this was the best day out i have had for a long time but if i done it again i would take more time and do it over two days also i done it from plymouth to Ilfracombe
