The carols in the caves were amazing. Thoroughly enjoyable, as was the singer in the cafe - Patrick. Our choir tonight was the Torbay Combined services

Carols in the cave is spectacular we have come for last 4 years and really enjoy the evening. We come as a little family and are so grateful for everyone's hospitality and kindness nothing is ever too much trouble. Staff couldn't be kinder to us and are so incredibly accommodating. The hot chocolate, mulled wine mince pies and festive spirit is one of our favourite holiday traditions and we love it. It has changed a bit from last year but it's just as lovely and enjoyable. The new cave smoked cheese is very good. We are also always grateful for the free return entry in January it's a lovely gesture after the Carol service and really worth doing every year as my daughter gets older each year she gets so much more from it thanks all

Last visited when I was 7. 65 years later revisited. Now a cafe and shop stand at the entrance. Each visit is a timed tour, so we had to await the alloted time. The guide was superb and the underground tour very interesting and well worth the visit.

We visited Kent Caves in November. We were very lucky as we arrived for the 10.30 am tour, and we basically had a 1 to 1 tour of the Caves. Our guide, Lawrence, was brilliant, lots of info and knowledge. The Caves themselves are spectacular, and the discovery, history, and geology are fascinating. Parking was easy, £3 for 4 hours. It was about an hour tour, it's easily accessible, there are no stairs to go down or worry about if you have some mobility issues. The tea room is nice too. To summarise, book online for a discount, groups can be up to 30 people, I can imagine the parking could be limited in summer or half term etc. I would highly recommend.

14 degrees in the caves throughout the year. Guide was excellent (and funny). Easy access. One hour tour. Good history. Cafe Ok. Shop a little pricey.

The tour lasts about an hour and our tour guide was Noah, who I thought did a really good tour. Like any visitor attraction it isn't a cheap activity but I enjoyed it and if you like caves, a bit of geology, and local history then I would recommend a visit. Book on line and it's a bit cheaper.

We had a great afternoon at Kent's Cavern during the October half term. Although I have previously visited Kent's Cavern about 5 years ago, it still amazes me that such a gem of a place is hidden away beneath Torquay. I was inspired to visit again after recently visiting the Box Museum in Plymouth and seeing the exhibition which includes finds from Kent's Cavern and other caves in the South West.
The history of the caves is fascinating, and this was presented brilliantly, and with humour, by our knowledgeable guide, Kevin, during the tour. The tour seemed to be enjoyed and accessible to the full range of people attending the tour (young children to older adults). I was especially pleased that my tween and teen were interested and enjoyed the experience.
The gift shop had a lovely range of items, many of which had good relevance to the Kent's Cavern experience and local area.
We were also impressed by the choice and quality of food served in the cafe. The Halloween-themed cakes were fab
I would also like to mention that all the staff we met were notably friendly and welcoming

Kent's Cavern is a truly wonderful experience. The caves are majestic to see. One can go time after time and take in different formations each time. Our guide was Liv, who is passionate and engaging about her subject. We hung on her every word. I hope to return next year though, as I want a tour with Charlotte, who I imagine would be amazing aswell. Charlotte was in the shop and was so cheerful and warm.
The catering staff were friendly and ensured our order was correct and to our liking. The food was heavenly. We had cream teas, pizza and cakes in our group. Every morsel was devoured.
Kent's Cavern are also holding events such as Carol's in the Caves and had Halloween decorations all over. A truly wonderful experience. Their staff are a credit to them.

There is plenty of parking with a ramp up to the entrance... but like the others have said it depends on the persons disability as the caves are very steep dark and slippery.. you could always Email or call them to ask the staff are very friendly and helpful. hope this helps.

Hi,
There are mostly larger chambers in the cave, some connecting passageways, none smaller than an average corridor. There is one small moment of darkness but otherwise it is well it. There is no crawling, stooping and is generally the most accessible cave in Britain.

Yes. You can take even babies into the caves. Be aware that there is a sound and light show at the beginning of the tour and a brief moment darkness. Tour guides are well trained to look after and entertain children as well as the adults. Kids activity sheets are free.

No it is very uneven floors in the cave and you have to duck sometimes due to low rocks coming from the ceiling of the cave

I use a wheelchair a lot but wondered if there was somewhere safe I could leave it while at the caverns also I'm slow walking and wanted to check that it's not a quick paced tour. Also, sorry for all questions is there steps or anywhere steep that is involved in your. Thank you

I agree with te other comments but woan uld add that it is a cave with rocky floors. they can be uneven and wet and sloppy. The staff are helpful but only you know your own capabilities it can be a risk. I suggest you talk to them .
