Lovely sunny day in october we visted.Was excellent throughly enjoyed the sculptures and the walk round the lake and river.Easy paths to walk on and lots of seating if you need to rest.We enjoyed our day took us a leisurely couple of hours.Will definately be back in the spring or summer.No children under 14 and only well behaved dogs.Heaven.

Twenty family members visited The Makers Yard for afternoon tea following a funeral service at Tincleton. The Makers Kitchen staff could not have been more helpful and they provided a delicious tea, excellent value and beautifully presented!
Do visit The Sculpture Park and The Makers Yard- you will not be disappointed!

Beautiful, peaceful, thought provoking. Extremely well kept, easy walking, lots of places to rest if necessary. Lovely wildlife and nature. Very smart place yet comfortable and easy going. Can't fault it. And the best coffee I've had in a long time.

Well worth a visit we spent a good 2 to 3 hours great Sculptures and set in exceptionally beautiful grounds staff all very friendly and couldn’t do enough to make our day more enjoyable, we booked on line and lovely to enjoy a day out without children running everywhere well done to the owners for sticking to their principles.

Our visit to Sculptures by the lake was a true highlight of our trip. The location is fabulous. So lovely to wander round the lakes enjoying the natural beauty and amazing sculptures. Highly recommended.

Delightful 3 hour break without my kids, visited on a sunny autumn day, wandered around slowly listening to birds, enjoying the sculptures and seats. We booked the cafe on arrival as it gets busy, but self serve takeaway drinks were available. Toilets clean. Cute gift shop and gallery with artists in residence. No kids under 14

We visited the sculpture gardens on a rainy October day, we had phoned ahead and booked the one motorhome space available and arrived just after 1pm. The staff could not have been more helpful, coning off our car parking space and welcoming us when we arrived.
The gardens themselves are quite stunning and the sculptures perfectly compliment them. What's more every sculpture was easy to understand and some were simply beautiful We spent over 2.5 hours walking around and could have taken longer if it had not been raining a little too much towards the end of our visit.
Lovely cafe, great coffee and cakes, facilities spotless, great staff would like to visit again in every season. Great value for money.

We absolutely loved our day visiting here. The sculptures are wonderful and there really is something for everyone to enjoy. Plenty of places to rest should you need or just take in the surroundings. We had our 4 dogs with us and they were made very welcome. One of the things that attracted us to visit here besides the sculptures was the fact that no children under 14 are allowed. We loved our visit and will visit again next t time we are down this way on holiday. Highly recommend if you want a peaceful scenic day out.

I do believe that Sculptures by the Lakes do gift vouchers but check their website to be certain.

All tickets must be pre-booked prior to your arrival via our website. Please do not just turn up as due to Covid 19 we are limiting numbers.

Yes you can take your own food and drink but there are no rubbish bins, so all rubbish has to be taken to the entrance.

Admission to the park is £10 a head but it is possible to visit our Gallery Cafe free of charge.
We are open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am until 5pm. And just a polite reminder of our strict no children under 14 or dogs of any age policy.

Please could you tell me if it is possible to enjoy this attraction without doing a lot of walking? i have an elderly parent who is unable to walk far, but is too proud to use any assistance! Thank you

Thank you for your enquiry regarding the amount of walking. The Sculptures are sited around the 26 acres of lakes and garden and whilst some can be easily seen from the Cafe seating area, others are placed further around the lakes. Some of the paths are slightly uneven. There are however, plenty of seats around the lakes.
Entry to the Gallery Cafe will be free, (which opens on 4th April) whilst entry to the Sculpture Park remains at £10 per person.

We are sorry to have not responded to your question sooner but we were not open between Christmas and New Year. The admission fee for the park is £10 a head, and we wish to remind you of our no children under the age of 14 and no dogs of any age policy.
We are open Tuesday - Saturday from 11am - 5pm.

Dear Brian,
Thank you for your questions.
Unfortunately we do not allow dogs as the owners here have their own pack and as most are rescue it would upset their balance. Also we can not garantee they all visiting dogs have been vaccinated, so wouldn't want to take the risk.
You may absolutely bring disability scooters, wheelchairs, disability buggies or push frames. Please be aware however that the ground is grass and there is the odd tree root or dip in the ground. Also during a rainy day it can be difficult for one to push a chair around the lakes.
Please note out opening hours are 11am until 5pm and we do not allow dogs or children under the age of 14 on the premises.
