I always enjoy looking and occasionally buying art from this shop. It's always interesting often diverse and at the moment has a beautiful exhibition of drawings and paintings of Bees. Such beautiful detail on handmade paper and numerous sizes to fit any budget. Simply stunning.

I love L'Artishe Gallery. The owner is a working artist herself and has a studio on the premises so you can see her work and chat to her about art. She's very interesting to talk to and the art in the gallery is a great mix of changing exhibitions and includes work from established and emerging artists. Slightly hidden away up the High Street it is worth taking the time to visit this gallery.

I've visited on several occasions to solo exhibitions, open exhibitions, group exhibitions, etc and the the gallery has always been well laid out, with plenty of information on the artists on view, good curators to add a more personal insight, and often a chance to meet the artists themselves.
A centre for contemporary visual arts by both emerging and established artists - one of a Purbecks visit highlights for anf visitor to the area.

I no longer go to Swanage without being sure to drop into L'Artishe Gallery and Studio. The exhibitions are contemporary, thought provoking and support local artists as well as importing art from further afield. The exhibition space is elegant, peaceful and well lit. The great bonus is the studio that leads off the Gallery where the owner Sharon creates her own stunning artwork, ranging from delicate studies of tiny bird skulls to iridescent drawings of a vast range of bees. There is always an new assemblage, print or drawing to be seen and then there's Sharon! What a pleasure it is to be guaranteed an intelligent, knowledgeable and enthusiastic conversation about art (making it, showing it, marketing it) and how artists work. If you love art and like to think about the art you view don't miss a visit to L'Artishe.

I have had a brilliant time paper making and printing at Sharon's gallery. She is a great teacher and very welcoming. The gallery shows an eclectic range of contemporary art and also supports the local community.

Well worth popping into if you do not need to see tourist based art as you are unlikely to find any pictures of Old Harry in here. A real gem of a gallery with great exhibitions from local and national artists that often seem out of place in Swanage which makes it even more appealing. Constantly changing exhibitions make it interesting for locals as well as visitors to the town and the owner has a real passion for what she does.

A visit to this gallery is a must if you are a visitor to Swanage. The art displays change on a regular basis, and are very carefully compiled with works of local artists. They can be bold or sublime, etc., and always thought provoking. Sharon, the owner, is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the artists' work, and the gallery itself has a very good space in which to admire the works on display. Visit, you won't be disappointed!!

This gallery is well worth a visit if you are in Swanage either as a visitor or local. The exhibitions change regularly and they are always brilliant. The style and medium of the artwork is always different and it is different from what the other galleries in Swanage show which is good!
The gallery owner is very enthusiastic and also runs workshops in the gallery. Go in and have a look, you'll be glad you did!
