9月3日，我们乘坐柴油和蒸汽火车，在几个地方停了下来，在那里我们一起探索了很多，火车和车站工作人员和车站都像五十年代的样子。整个体验非常专业真实，风景真的很美。

What a brilliant experience for all the family. Really loved this big dose of nostalgia and the enthusiasm from the volunteers who run this bit of railway.
It isn't a cheap day out but it is totally worth it. We bought the rover tickets at £25 each and had lots of fun hanging out the windows, talking to staff, admiring the different stations drinking tea, and then doing the same again in reverse ...!
The website doesn't have enough information but the brochure Your Day Out has history and lots of ideas about where to grab a bite along the way.
We took the steam train but diesel powered trains also operate on same line.

Take the train for a great day out.

We were staying at the adjacent campsite of the Caravan and Motorhome Club and took the train to Cheltenham to meet some friends for lunch, At £25 each the tickets were more than we expected but I suppose everything has gone up recently. A nice man in the cafe told us that "Mary" was a first-class coach so we boarded that one and it was exceptionally comfortable with upholstered seating and a table with a lamp that was working. We enjoyed coffee from the onboard cafe and relaxed to appreciate the marvellous views on both sides of the track. The staff were all mega helpful and enthusiastic and altogether it made a great day out. On the drive back to Wales my wife said that she would love to take the train again another day.

Great day out with Santa.

Had a fabulous day out on Saturday 17th December on the Santa Express. Our 3 year old grand-daughter loved meeting Santa and he was excellent with her. We were very impressed with all of Santa's helpers at Cheltenham and Winchcombe, as well as those on board the train. Their positive, friendly attitude and willingness to help was highly commendable, particularly as it was freezing cold yet, as volunteers, they went out of their way to make our day special. The snow on the ground just added to the magic of the day. Thank you for a wonderful experience and Merry Christmas to you all. We will be back!!

Superb in every way

I visited this railway during the Mixed traction gala on the Sunday. It an excellent day out with plenty to see and do around the railway. Sadly most of the trains were delayed and off timetable but this was not their fault and was handled really well. Trains were clean and staff friendly and helpful. Definitely worth the price and a visit if you're in the area

A steam locomotive delight.

The stations at Toddington and Winchcombe are delightful invocations of the 1950s. The volunteers are enthusiastic, the tea rooms pleasant and welcoming, and some of the guest steam locomotives are awesome.

Enjoyable train trip

Travelled from Broadway to Cheltenham Racecourse and back again on the same steam train. Trains well maintained as are the stations en route. Lovely Cotswold scenery to enjoy on the trip.
The volunteer staff are very helpful and friendly which is usually the case with heritage trains.
The return journey cost £25 which is a bit pricey but we understand that running costs need to be met.

We travelled from Toddington to Broadway, lovely well maintained stations & plants and friendly staff/volunteers. Definitely recommend & we plan to visit again & travel in the other direction.

Great Day Trip for the Family to See the Cotswold!

What a fun and well organize outing from Cheltenham to Broadway to see the Broadway tower. This is a great family or couples outing trip for the day. My daughter and I wanted to get away from the city and see the Cotswold country side. What better way than on a train. But, these are not just any trains, these are refurbished steam locomotives and old diesel locomotives that pull the old fashion, but very comfortable (first class) seating. The train station in Cheltenham is on the opposite side of the Cheltenham Racecourse. To get there by bus, take the D bus out of Cheltenham downtown. You will get off at the Park & Ride at the Cheltenham Racecourse. From their, you need to walk around the Racecourse (to the left of the drop bus drop off) facility through their parking lots and the buildings. As you get past the Racecourse buildings, you will continue walking down then up a small area to the train station which is still on the racecourse property. The volunteers for the train wear official old style train gear. It is easy to buy tickets at the station or on-line. Our cost to Broadway and back was 25 quid each. There is refreshments at the Cheltenham station, Toddington station and at the Broadway station. They also have a refreshments car on the train you can pick up items for the trip. The trains run on time and start at 10am out of Cheltenham alternating steam locomotive, then diesel locomotive. It’s about a 0.5 mile walk into Broadway from the station. The last steam train to Cheltenham from Broadway leaves at 2:10pm (14:10), the last diesel train leaves at 3:30pm (15:30).
