My Dad and I did a five day canoe trip down the river Wye and had such a lovely time. Andy and his team at Hereford canoe hire were so friendly helpful in organising our trip route and where to stay, answering our questions and making sure we were set and ready to go. Would highly recommend!

We love going down the river from Tressick campsite to Ross-on-wye, where we enjoyed the scenery and many sightings of the kingfisher and other various water birds.

A fabulous afternoon... totally peaceful, no traffic noise for the whole stretch which was lovely. We saw 5 Kingfishers:)

This was our third consecutive multi-day 'expedition' trip with Hereford Canoe Hire in as many years, and we will be back next year. I'm usually reserved in reviews ('excellent' and 'five out of five' are overused), but in my experience Hereford Canoe Hire are genuinely fantastic: professional, with good equipment, yet also highly personable and, thanks to Andy and Will, some of the best customer service I've ever experienced anywhere. (I've been doing this with our daughter, who was nine, ten, and/or eleven respectively during these trips, and they were really good with her as well.) I'd recommend them highly for any outing but, in particular, if you are interested in the kind of multi-day trips that we have been doing down the river from campsite to campsite with everything int he canoe, then they are superb for that. Looking forward to seeing them again next summer.

Lovely day out, Andy talked us through it, after driving us to start point. Then relaxing canoeing down the beautiful Wye.

I went canoeing with my son last weekend. We booked a two day trip and canoed from Hereford to Trewithy on a quite windy day. As we approached the end my son asked if we had to go back tomorrow. I think he was very tired, and I said that we did not have to. We enjoyed camping overnight, and in the morning, I went to say that we would not require the transport back from Ross later in the day.
I was pleasantly surprised to be offered a refund of the second days booking or a free second day later when my son wanted to return. I chose to return later.
It was a very pleasant experience - the staff were very knowledgable, very kind and helpful.

Hi I live in Hereford City and want to book for four adults a half day trip.....this is a birthday gift to be used probably next year. What routes and choices do we have please?

Hi Elizabeth. Any and all of our trips can be purchased in voucher form as a birthday gift.
The most popular trip for this purpose is the half day trip from Lucksall to Hoarwithy. Roughly 3-4 hours of paddling, there is a lovey pub at the end where you can pause for a drink or bite to eat before we pick you up.
For 4 adults you will need 2 canoes, the cost for this for the half day is £90 inclusive of all equipment and transport.
