We booked the Historic St Albans walking tour as the introduction to a day visit to the city for a branch of The Arts Society. Our party of 27 was assigned 2 guides, Diana and Lin, both of whom were excellent, knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommended.

to celebrate #VolunteerWeek all our volunteers enjoyed an Historic Walking Tour of St Albans. A fascinating tour with very knowledgeable guides and learnt lots of fun facts about the City.

I was delighted with my tour of old St Albans last Sunday. Our guide was very knowledgeable and showed us so many interesting things in this beautiful old city. He went at a good pace and spoke really clearly. I would thoroughly recommend.

Tour of historic St.Albans. A wonderful experience, full of interesting facts and stories going back to the earliest settlements. A guide who kept us enthralled despite pouring rain - it must be good.

We recently went on the "Historic St Albans" tour with Sheldon as our guide. The various members of our group had lived in and around St Albans for years, but we knew surprisingly little about our local history. What better antidote than a walking tour of the city centre?
Sheldon crafted a fascinating narrative starting at the current town hall and ending at the cathedral, and spanning several centuries along the way. The tour did an excellent job of covering many of the broad points of how the city was formed and shaped, while also presenting a range of interesting stories about particular individuals who have lived or died here. St Albans proved a particularly rich venue for this sort of tour, since it has so much history inconspicuously packed into its small centre.
Sheldon's knowledge and enthusiasm for her subject matter were self-evident, and her style was commendably clear and engaging. She was also very accommodating of our dog, who unfortunately began to feel a little attention-starved around the halfway point.
In summary, a thoroughly enjoyable hour and a half, and I'm sure we'll be booking one of the many other available tours soon!
