Terrible bar and I'd never go in again. The miserable bar staff made it quite clear not welcome. The regulars in the bar gave the same impression so avoid this bar.

A first class bar, expertly run, by people who know what bars are about. You would not enter here believing this was a place to dine, just to enjoy a drink with the locals ( of which I’m one) so the person that thought it was a place to dine with grandchildren was clearly foolish in the extreme. A bar that fits the purpose. As I said, first class.

My daughter and my granddaughter popped in for lunch,we shared the seafood platter at£25, it was the most disgusting meal I have ever experienced,advertised as crispy salad and local freshly caught fish and shellfish. It arrived consisting mainly of whitebait,and the freshly caught fish was overwhelmed by the taste of cheap oil.The crispy golden chips were frozen oven chips.The ice cream strawberry/vanilla was likened to ice cubes by my granddaughter.When the barmaid cleared the full table,she asked were we finished,or fed up looking at it,I think that statement summed our lunch up.

I walked in here, needing the toilet rather urgently.
As I walked towards it, I could hear loud pronouncements to the effect that I shouldn't just go without asking permission.
Apparently, telling them that I DID intend to buy a drink wasn't good enough, either.
Welcome to the world of Harbour Bar etiquette. As I sit here, I can hear the same individual who wanted to put me right swearing and making racist comments VERY loudly.
I am not of an ethnic type for these to be aimed at me, but I find them offensive, as I do the bullying "welcome" comments made on my using the toilet. (Lid off, sink taps don't work.)
Not likely to recommend this place, am I?

Great range of ales - many local - clean comfortable modern interior, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. A welcome addition to Ramsgate's scene.

This has to be the worst bar we have ever been in .... dirty and very unhygienic place ... staff ignorant waited 10 minutes to get served even tho the barmaids weren't doin anything just chatting to each other ... drink was like paint stripped took one sip and left never be back
