Hi, there were lots of people with dogs as it is forest below the course and so there were parents following on foot, some with dogs, whilst other members of the family were on the Go Ape course.

Hi, I used Google maps: Go Ape Grizedale, Go Ape, Grizedale, Ambleside LA22 0QJ, United Kingdom Which got me to a road in the forest, than I drove with the local small signs, until I got to a parking. From there it was actually going 5 min back to the actual place. I hope this is helping. Nir

The minimum age for Tree Top Adventure and Forest Segway is 10 years (please note height and weight restrictions also apply). Zip Trekking is 13 years minimum and Tree Top Junior is for those over one metre tall. For more information please feel free to check out the FAQs section on our website. Thanks for getting in touch and for thinking of us. Grizedale Cafe is situated in the courtyard and provides hot and cold food and drinks throughout the year. The facility is managed by our chums Churchill Catering Ltd. Well behaved dogs are welcome inside and there is plenty of outdoor seating in the courtyard.

The distance between the YHA Hawkshead & the Go Ape Grizedale Forest location is just 3 miles but I am very doubtful that it is on a bus route. My recommendation is that you contact both the Grizedale Youth Hostel & also Go Ape by telephone & put the question directly to them for their advice. It is quite possible that they will suggest that you walk the 3 miles each way or organise a taxi. There is a good café / restaurant at the Grizedale Go Ape location. Regards,

The course is in several stages so you could back out if you really felt scared even after one or two stages, although its a long walk back to the centre. The equipment provided also includes a whistle so if you have real issues half way through a section there are staff on hand to get you down. Nothing to worry about though, your very firmly attached. My girlfriend really doesn't like heights but got through it all OK with only one or two shaky leg moments but she admitted at the end she loved it.

Yes, play area and cafe not far from trek. Can also loiter at the bottom if you want to see them do their first circuit so you can see them enjoying the course. Hope you enjoy
