Not been here for about nearly 40 years. gardens are lovely. some of the areas were closed because they carrying out the annual clipping of some of the hedges. We went in the cafe for a drink when we arrived. Service was a little slow. We went back for lunch but cafe was so busy we did not enter. Instead we went to the bakery and got some cake and a drink and sat outside. The cakes are lovely and large portions. Did not go in the house because two of the party have mobility problems. Garden was OK for them.

Absolutely Beautiful - Was a Real delight to walk around this gorgeous home and gardens. Staff were really lovely without being overbearing in the House. Gardens were real fun, we watched a game of crochet whilst there too, I have been reading up on the History of Levens since our visit, as there was so much to take in on the Day! We stopped for lunch half way through our day, fabulous and really lovely staff too - thank you. Cannot wait for a return visti

It’s very expensive to go and look around the house £15.50 plus only half the house is open to view ! The gardens were gorgeous and the sun actually came out for a short while while strolling through the gardens the best part of this visit. The onsite bakery was not impressive and too expensive the onsite cafe was busy and the staff member taking orders at the till was rude and arrogant. It took 10 min to bring a cup of tepid coffee and another 15mins to put a readymade sandwich on a plate and serve it. Overpriced, overinflated, overly rid arrogant avoid avoid avoid this place best to just walk around gardens with your own picnic 🧺

Beautiful garden, immaculately kept, very quirky & interesting,
Good value for money.
The cherry slice in the bakery was yummy 😋
My only reason for a 4 star rating is that I would have liked to seen some name tags on the plants.

We bought the £75 ticket for two which included lunch and access to the house and gardens, we thought this very good value especially compared to similar National Trust houses. The house is fascinating, very good large print room notes and plenty of people to answer questions. The gardens are beautiful particularly the topiary and our favourite - the colourful bee borders. The cafe is excellent, good fresh food cooked to order and very attentive friendly staff.

We visited the house and the gardens and had something in the cafe area.
We all enjoyed it.
The gardens were beautiful and the house was very interesting to see.

Stunning house and topiary gardens, we loved our visit here. The house is very interesting with decorative plaster ceilings and lots of information about the family and the artefacts on show. The topiary gardens are famous and didn’t disappoint.

What caught my attention beyond the topiary were the garden rooms. Each space felt like stepping into a different world, meticulously designed to create unique atmospheres. From serene, contemplative nooks to sweeping bee-friendly wildflower meadows, every area offered a new perspective on what a garden can be.
But the delights didn't end with the garden The on-site cafe was a pleasant surprise that turned out to be the cherry on top. Their burger was one of the juiciest, most flavourful burgers I've ever tasted. The quality of the food matched the beauty of the surroundings, making for a truly memorable day out.

Allow 2-3 hours including the gardens. Not sure of the last admission time. I am sure they would advise you if you called.

Levens Park is completely free to visit and you can walk up either side of the river on footpaths.

Hi hopefully be paying you a visit next week and just wanted to know can we book tickets online on the actual day that we are visiting and show booking on mobile or do we need to print them off or are they sent in the post (snailmail). Thank you for any replies.

You can buy tickets anytime you like online. They don't need to be printed and so showing them to our ticket kiosk attendant on your phone is totally fine. We look forward to seeing you soon

I'm afraid that there isn't any wheelchair access in the house owing to the large number of stairs and narrow doorways. The house is also grade one listed, therefore we can't install lifts. There is wheelchair access in the garden and we have an electric wheelchair that can be borrowed for free. There is also access to the cafe, the shop and WC.

Hello
I'm afraid that dogs aren't allowed in the house or garden. However, opposite the entrance to the house is Levens Deer Park that contains two footpaths going either side of the River Kent. The park is about 1.5 miles long and is perfect for walking dogs (as long as they are kept on a lead as the park contains our Fallow deer and some Bagot goats).
