Booked the ten lakes spectacular tour with the freindly staff at the centre.
on pick up on a very cold Thursday we were greeted by our tour guide who was excellent and very informative. The mini bus was very comfortable and thankfully driven by our profesional driver. Thoroughly enjoyed the day and would recommend your trips to anyone who is visiting Windermere with a great opportunity to enjoy the beautiful countryside and not worrying about the driving and parking.

it is very exciting to enter the exhibition hall. Telling the story of the lake area is the best summary of the trip.

I arrived Windermere on 20th Sept (Monday) around 2 pm. Since, I had not much info on what to see, I went into the visitor info centre. I asked the lady on the counter about some suggestion. She sort of made my itinerary for the rest of the day ( starting with Orrester Head & then to Bowness via Millerground for later). I didn't ask for her name, but she was so kind, helpful & efficient.
On day 2 ( 21st) I went there again to book ticket for six lakes tour for the next day. The lady who served me was adequately ro book my tour & suggesting Ambleside for the day.
On day 3 (22nd) I arrived earlier before my scheduled tour. I informed of my arrival to the visitor service assistant at that time, Komoni. She was polite, friendly and professional. She answered some of my queries. Then I got off to my six lakes mountain goat tour, which was brilliant. After the tour, I went back to the visitor centre, as I had 4 hours to catch my train to London. I asked Komoni for advice. She suggested me to visit Kendal. So, I followed her advice & made the most of Kendal.
In conclusion, I wanted to say huge thanks to Konomi, the other helpful lady who was working on Monday afternoon & to the visitor information team for being so informative and helpful.

The entrance was fully Covid secure, one way in and one way out. The guy helped to direct us to where we wanted to head to, a pleasant walk to Orrest Head.

While you are at Windermere Information be sure to book one of the several excellent Mountain Goat Tours! We did The Ten Lakes Tour one day and The High Tour over Wrynose and Hardknot Passes the following day. Exhilarating! Having driven this last route ourselves previously it was lovely to see it all as socially distanced passengers! Even wearing facemasks did not spoil the fun! nd plenty of stops for fresh air, photographs, etc! Highly recommend!

Went in the Windermere Information a few time during my Mon to Fri beak staying in the Windermere hotel over the road. The staff were always helpful, cheerful with advise on the area. Also a nice selection of knobbly nick knacks for the tourists

Katie had excellent knowledge of the area, excellent customer service as well as helped booking our group on the Mountain Goat tour. Loads of free information and local tips for parking as well as recommendation for things to do and places to eat. Many thanks for your help, you made every welcome and special, nothing was to much trouble for you to do for us many thanks.
