Beautiful, stunning scenery but beware of Ribble Valley country and holiday park (Park Leisure) total sharks that can't help enough when you are buying, but the most unhelpful, thoughtless, bullies when you ask for help ☹️ if you voice your opinion you are gone!

First time staying in a glamping pod and visiting the Ribble valley.
The glamping pod was very clean and comfortable.
There was a large field with a goal and some footballs which was welcomed by my two sons
The fire pit was used every night to cook our BBQ food and toast marshmallows with a lovely sunset
We were fortunate to have glorious hot weather and we used the river 800m walk from the campsite to cool off.
We visited Ribchester on our bikes which was 3miles away and had an ice cream by the river
We also climbed up Pendle hill which was a steep challenge.
The owners,Martyn and Anna were so welcoming and gave assistance when my son had a puncture and gave us a repair kit.
Overall the site, owners and surrounding areas was outstanding and not only will we like to come back, we have also recommended this to friends and family to enjoy this experience.

We live very close to the Ribble Valley and don't appreciate it. Lovely green open spaces.
Whalley loads of places to eat and drink. Mitton places of interest , great local fare at the pubs.
Hurst green a great place to walk .

Just returned from Ribble Valley View. We went with my daughter and her husband. We arrived on Friday afternoon and left Monday morning. The place and lodges are wonderful. The peace and quiet is unbelievable. Relax and take it easy. They even left us eggs (fresh) and fresh milk. We found this a lovely little touch. We are thinking about going longer the next time.

Spring Wood is easy to find- it’s just off the A69, along the A671 to Accrington but be very careful, the left-hand turn into the woods is immediately past the first traffic lights. The woods themselves are lovely with quite a few picnic tables close to the car park (cheap at £1) and toilets. You really need a map of the woods to take advantage of all the walks but even though we had one we never did find the purple and white stripped markers mentioned nor many of the numbered markers that corresponded to information on the brochure. It really would have been helpful if the brochure map showed the numbered markers, included a scale and if path junctions included simple signage.

We spent the weekend in a glamping pod on a small farm site not far from Clitheroe. Booked through Wigwam holidays. The site was wonderful. With facilities for children and even a hot tub available with one of the pods. They were even some that were dog friendly. Views across the valley, a walk down to the river. Great base for exploring. The valley itself has some much to offer in walking, pretty villages, scenic drives or even on a nice hot day a swim in the river. Some beautiful eateries, pubs, coffee shops are also on offer. Something for everyone.

We always refer Spring Wood Picnic Site as "Bluebell wood" and each year we go out of our way to visit and see the blanket of bluebells covering the ground, It's always so uplifting and framed beautifully by the light filtering through the trees.
A lovely place and a nice bunch of people visiting ready to pass the time of day with you.
All the dog owners we saw seemed very repectfull of others, but it was distressing to see that some decided to make the effort to clean up after thier pets but decided to leave the black bags scattered by the paths or stuffed in the tree stumps, where kids love to play.

If I were a Nordic Prince, this would be my castle!
We had a wondrous weekend of river walks, green grass meandering, grazing delicious fresh local produce and breathing deep the clear crisp and clean Ribble Valley air.
A true haven for relaxation and natural wonderment.
It's like a wooden hotel with all the mod cons and the feeling of being amongst nature.
The access was easy, locals friendly and service top notch (and the complimentary Simspon's milk went down like silky cream!)
A superb stay, thank you.

We travelled with Shearings to Oswaldtwistle Mill where a tour guide joined our bus. Over the next 1 & half hours he gave us a detailed commentary on the history of the different parts of the area. From Clitheroe, where they still do the "11+" exam & have a very high standard of education to info about the Pendle Witches. The local guide was a mine of info & brought the trip to life. Thank you!
