Great venue and our new go to

Such a super weekend in Blackpool. We spent both Friday and Saturday night in the flying handbag even after being put off about the drinks prices by a local social media page looks like it's ran by another venue. We all thought the drinks were very well priced, so much so that we spent all Friday night and most of Saturday night there. The bar staff and the door staff were so friendly and welcoming . Great bonus enjoying some food too. Music by the glittery dj nathan was brilliant and was happy to take song requests and remembered my birthday both nights. Lovely to hear a bit of 80's played.
We've already booked our hotel for in a few weeks time and look forward to coming back.

Real nice place to go, had excellent Sunday lunch thanks to Pedro and Pat in the kitchen. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Not busy but still better than the rest.

After trying a few of the other bars in the village and braving walking past Kaos (Jeeeezis!), it was great to finally visit the Handbag. Lovely staff, great 80’s tunes and it was good to be in such a clean bar. Most of the other bars we’d been in were a bit run down with dirty glasses. Spotless glasses here and perfect G & T’s. I’d rather pay a couple of quid more than drink in a slum from a dirty glass. Loos we’re a good size and again… clean! It was empty when we first went but it got a bit busier. Even the bouncer who the staff nicknamed “Godzilla” was lovely.

Went here whilst visiting Blackpool with pals. It is quite big, had a good dance floor and great tunes by the drag queen. Friendly staff and just a really fun night. There were a lot of hen dos/mums birthday s so be prepared for a bit of attention from the mummies after too many sherries. However, it was still good fun. Would recommend.

unhygenic bar staff meber

Was here saturday night and left after one drink. The older male barstaff member continually wiped / blew his nose and then served customers. Not very hygenic.

Best gay bar in Blackpool, great atmosphere and cabaret. Bar staff amazing, friendly and attentive, even remember what each customer is drinking. The best night out and worth staying over for.

Lovely venue, friendly staff, clean and welcoming.

I visited here on a Monday afternoon as a local. We wanted to do a bit of karaoke but not be in one of my work venues (which all do karaoke on a Monday afternoon). It had high expectations to live up to in my brain but we had a great time. My husband and I had a sing song, there seemed to be a lot of regular customers there who were all having fun and also encouraging. Created a really welcoming atmosphere to us as newbies. The bar staff were friendly. The young lady watched my drink while I nipped to the loo and the DJ played songs we enjoyed. A fun way to spend our Monday afternoon.

Amazing Night Out. The Best in Blackpool.

Amazing bar/club. The staff, from the door safe staff (especially Dawn and Jodie), to the bar staff, to the chefs (food is really good too), to the drag artists and DJs they are all really friendly and you are made to feel welcome. Plenty of open space out back if you want to sit and have a conversation with friends too. The place is spotlessly clean, tidy and comfortable that doesn't get over heated like some other venues. Definitely worth coming to and all are welcome and it's a safe environment for all.

A must when visiting Blackpool

First time to the Flying Handbag and certainly not my last. The bar staff Laura and John were excellent, quick service. Liam and Stephen from the kitchen served amazing food. Excellent value. Definitely a place to go in Blackpool

Great afternoon out

We had reserved a table for Sunday lunch which was waiting for us when we arrived. The food was cooked really well and tasted delicious. Three courses for £13.95, a real bargain. The kitchen staff Liam and Stephen and the bar staff, Laura and Jon, were friendly and helpful. A great afternoon out in Blackpool.
