This is right outside the Mersey Ferry terminal. Nice statues with a very good likeness of the Beatles. Good for a quick photo opportunity.

Here the boys are, at the riverfront, paying homage to their home town. Nice street art, and the style is so much like all the other statues of famous people around town. Lots of people taking photos.

The queues to have your photo taken with the statue can be longish but people do it quite quickly and the guy busking next to them is a good singer.

The statues are easy to find on the waterfront, close to the Cunard building and the British Music experience. They are much larger than I anticipated! It was nice. There was a busker playing Beatles music next to the statue and there is also a nice shop and café nearby. Statue is fab!

Note the details, such as the letter “L8” on the sole of Ringo’s shoe and the acorns in John’s hand, cast from those picked up outside the Dakota Building in New York. The famous statue of the Magnificent Four in their hometown. The Beatles statue arrived at Liverpool Waterfront in December 2015. Donated by the famous Cavern Club, the statue coincides with the 50th anniversary of the band's last concert in Liverpool, at the Liverpool Empire Theater. This is the most popular selfie spot in town! The figures are larger than life and weigh a total of 1.2 tons. They were created by Andrew Edwards, who also created the "Christmas Truce" statue from World War I, "All Together".

If you go to the pier head, or if you get off of a cruise ship and start walking towards the Royal Albert Dock, you will see the statue. We caught it early in the morning, which means that we didn't have to contend with a lot of people wanting photos. The statues are perfectly positioned to get a nice view behind them (as they face the river). Even if you're not a Beatles fan, this is an easy stop if you want to walk the area.
