我非常喜欢这次参观艺术博物馆的经历，但我的家人又饿又失望，因为咖啡馆里没有针对孩子们的娱乐项目。在里面没有孩子在身边的感觉非常棒，Kate让我们感觉到热情的欢迎，她对展览非常了解，并且一切都不成问题。总之，我推荐来这里参观，自己也肯定会再来的，只是得想清楚下次给小朋友们买点什么吃呢？！

Thank you for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed your visit to the museum and gallery and our family film. On the last Saturday of every month (excluding December) we have our ‘Family Saturday’ which consists of a morning film then a craft activity 1-4pm – all of this is free. Regarding your comment about the lack of child-friendly food options, we offer a ‘Kid’s Box’. This consists of 4 items from a choice of: sandwich, drink, fruit, chocolate bar and crisps. I have spoken with our café manager this morning and she also said they could offer a smaller soup and a roll for children. We hope this proves satisfactory and we look forward to welcoming you back to the VG&M very soon.

我在利物浦大学读书时，我曾在这里做过志愿者，为古埃及学的一些教育活动做服务。博物馆本身就很炫，囊括了已一系列有趣的艺术、历史。我建议可以留意下这里举办的各种活动。他们全年都有各种家庭活动，这也是孩子们学习的好地方。另外，因为这里离主要博物馆群较远，所以安静很多，这里算是一个逃离别的博物馆或商店喧嚣的好地方，这里也有不错的咖啡馆。

Thank you for your review Catherine and it is always lovely to hear from past student volunteers. As you say, we have regular family events – these take place on the last Saturday of each month, 1-4pm and are most suitable for children aged 4-11 years but everyone is welcome. There is a different theme each month linked to our collections on display or our wonderful building. Best wishes to you and hopefully we can welcome you back to the VG&M soon.

Thank you Sandra for your kind words. We do indeed have lots happening here, including as you say a popular café serving freshly prepared food 6 days a week and gift shop. The first and second floors are home to our wonderful art gallery and museum and we have regular events for people of all ages linked to our exhibitions. 房间很奢华，餐厅的菜美味

旅社布置不错，和别的地方不一样，一个房间每晚价格200美元（而且这是淡季），看起来装修得不错。室内的灯光比较暗，浴室里没有加热器，我们去的时候这不是问题，不过我可不想在冬天住这里。我们在住的国王小屋并不是一个真正的小屋，真的很奢华。墙壁和门前的走廊是和隔壁的一起共用。后面的露天平台是分开的。距离赫奇赫奇山谷很近，不过从山谷和云端草原还要一个小时。房间里不能煮饭的，不过这里的餐馆非常棒，考虑到质量价格还算合理。推荐！

Thank you so much Martine for your lovely review. We are so pleased that your little one had the best Halloween ever - we can’t ask for more than that! We run free Family Saturdays on the last Saturday of each month from 1 – 4pm, except for December’s event which will be on 19th December. Saturday 28th November artist Juliet will be helping families create their own Cunard posters inspired by our stunning 1930s posters on display. On 19th December printmaker Tilly will be showing you how to make quirky Christmas cards – a modern twist on the potato print! 离市中心有点远但如果你在利物浦的话绝对值得一游。博物馆在维多利亚大厦的一个华美的房间里。这个大厦里边还有很棒的工艺美术运动时期的展览。一楼咖啡店的东西水准相当高，非常受欢迎。每月的第二个周三下午是工艺品时间。如果你有两小时的闲暇时间，只需5英镑，你就可以学着做一件新工艺品。这可是利物浦鲜为人知的珍宝哦。

一个小的利物浦宝藏

我们从城市旅游大巴的顶层上发现了这个小宝藏。这是一个漂亮的建筑物，在主楼梯的咖啡厅上有华丽的瓷砖。阅览室里有惊人的高背椅子（不能想象有个学生在上面睡着了）。这里有一个漂亮的彼得科贝特艺术作品的展厅还有一个关于假牙的展厅。当我们问及展厅的特色的时候，员工很棒，他们用幽默和耐心为我们提供了一些惊人的信息。我们计划下次来这个城市的时候再来这里参观，只是来尝试一下这个可爱的小咖啡厅。Shirley和Jane

Thank you for your review – we are pleased you decided to get off the tour bus and visit us! The Victoria Building was designed by one of the leading Victorian architects Alfred Waterhouse, who perhaps most famously designed the Natural History Museum. He designed all aspects of the building, including the decorative tiles you pointed out. Our café is very popular and definitely worth a return a visit! 值得从市中心走过来

就算是来看看这个保存完好的红砖大学建筑也值得来一趟。一个男性工作人员很热情地欢迎了我们，还特地告诉我们这里有什么看的。展品会有变化，但是我们很喜欢我们去的时候看到的。我们还充分利用了这个机会参观了阶梯教室。因为比其他博物馆离市中心都要远，这里非常安静，也很值得带孩子们来，想要试一试这里的东西也不用排队。咖啡区好像是从哈利波特的场景里出来的一样，但是在这个场合我们就没有去喝咖啡了。

You are right in that we are a little further out of town but with the Metropolitan Cathedral across the road and the Williamson Tunnels a short walk away, there is plenty to warrant making the trip up Brownlow Hill. Buses leave regularly from the side of the Adelphi Hotel also. As well as the children’s activities available at all times that you mention, we also have free Family Saturday workshops on the last Saturday of each month (excluding December). We hope to welcome you back again soon.

第二次来才算是真正得到了服务

我第一次来的时候---在餐馆里坐着等了30分钟，根本就没人过来和我打招呼。最后，我放弃了，带着遗憾准备离开，主管走过来跟我道歉解释说有可能是因为“餐桌上还剩有餐盘”（以为我没吃完），所以没人过来？！！！！！
第二次，总算是成功了---如果终于有人过来服务你就算是一种成功的话。食物挺不错，但是没有什么特别的，再次想说这儿的服务，实在是太普通了。我可能不会再回来，也没有什么好评论的。太让人失望了---那么特别的一个地方，但服务比一般的都要差，真的真的给客人们的饮食体验减了不少分。

We are sorry to hear you had a disappointing café experience. Our café is very popular so during the lunchtime period there is a sign asking people to wait to be seated so waiting staff can monitor who is arriving and promptly take orders. I believe there were only two waiting staff on that day and during a busy service, this could explain why they didn’t notice you, in addition to them not seating you themselves. A raised hand or comment to staff at the serving counter would have ensured your order was taken. We are pleased you were impressed with the Victoria Building itself - it is a Victorian gem, of which we are very proud. If you did decide to return, there are free guided tours of the building offered every Tuesday and Thursday at 12.30 led by our experienced guides.
