Wonderful place! Just what I was looking for from a London pub.
During the ordering at the counter the guys were kind.
To drink a great beer and eat the best fish and chips this is the perfect place.
Council to go soon to find place because the place deserves, the photos do not give the idea

Bad experience.

Good experience, but before leaving, one of the waiters threw the Shopping we had on a table to the floor and we lost a cap we had bought, we didn’t expect that bad detail from them, we felt outraged with the attitude of the staff and especially with much discomfort about it.

Bad experience

Attracted by the positive reviews, we thought we would eat in a real London pub, so it was not... if you want to drink top but if you want to eat look for something else! Absent service you are forced to look for the table yourself and look for someone to order, few dishes on the menu and those that are written are actually not available, noisy atmosphere... conclusion, we left without eating.

I’ll never come back again

A security person asked me to leave the pub because I was with my backpack on. Even after the security check and after 2 hours enjoying the music, the security person thought that my backpack was disturbing people. I’ve brought over a 1000 people to this pub on business and it’s with great sadness that I’m saying that I won’t be coming back again.
Such a picky thing will cost the pub several thousand pounds as I won’t recommend my friends and business partners to go to this pub.
The pub may not feel it now, but the payoff will come.
Shame.

Interesting interior and promise which doesn’t deliver

Don’t bother with Waxys. Seriously. Got two pints of Guinness eventually from disinterested bar staff. They were just ok. Ventured upstairs and got two more which were really bad and tasted’flat’.. raised the issue with an incredulous barmaid who eventually got her suspicious manager to listen.. and then obtain some pints from a different tap downstairs which were a huge improvement. No apology, no nothing, just suspicion. These guys are just jumping on the back of the bandwagon and taking the p. Find yourself a real Irish bar when you visit London

Good spot to watch France thrash England.

Tickets to see Hamilton in a nearby theatre so wouldn’t have had time to get back from Twickenham. This is a large rambling pub with a lot of wood and stuff following a broadly Irish theme. Several decent screens to watch the two 6 nations games, good vibe and several Frenchmen around us. Decent selection of well kept ales. Affable place. We had a good time apart from the creeping depression and embarrassment at the English performance but the French played better than anyone since Scotland in this years Calcutta Cup.

Unprofessional

Shocking place can’t recommend. Guiness was okay and burger and chips was decent. However the young tall Irish barman on Wednesday 6th July was rude and insulting.
Overheard him slagging us off after we had been to bar. Don’t know what his problem is?
Had a sly word in the small barmaids ear on our next visit to the bar upon which we left soon after.
Not a pleasant experience…

SHOULD BE MORE UP FRONT ABOUT HIDDEN SERVICE CHARGES ON ALL DRINKS

The 2 stars aren't so much for the overall bar but adding 5% charge on all payments at a bar feels like sharp practice. It's not obvious to customers that this is being done because buying a bottle of beer for example really doesn't necessitate an extra service charge. For food it's okay but for drinks it feels a bit of a rip off especially with bottles of lager or cider which don't take any effort to serve up. Great bar in so many other ways but transferring responsibility for staff costs onto customers which is what this kind of service charge thing is all about just doesn't sit well.

Terrible Place

Terrible place, went to watch the football with some lovely friends, spent a fortune in there, all very happy and just enjoying the night, till the terrible manager decided she wanted us out, was running her finger across her throat signalling to the bouncers to clear us out ! Charging £11 for a single baileys, and also charging towards the end for doubles and giving singles ! Manger was all smiles when we were spending, but changed at the end of the night, horrible place - we will all spread the word, in a pandemic when good place are losing their business, this place treats people like that - Never again would we step through that door, and the Manager should look for another job, she clearly didn’t want the place to re-open, guess she just wants to be placed on furlough and relax whilst the government pay her wages - Never again - Horrible place - as we were walking out, Many others said about the Manger as well

The service of dreams

Good Sunday night guaranteed!! This is such an authentic pub full of adventure. The staff are amazing. A welcoming smile from Kevin at front door. Great service from Elenor (she was so quick and read our minds when we wanted “feeding!”)Jade also made sure we had all we need. Great food! The chicken you kind were so fresh and the vegan burger also very tasty (from a no -vegan eater) Real HONEST staff reminded us of government rules but how to get a waxys experience! Live music was amazing!!! Will be back for sure!!!!
