Late autumn and the variety of colours of the leaves still clinging to the trees is beautiful. Away from the hustle and bustle of the noise of the city you really can stand and stare beneath the boughs. There are even squirrels to watch as they busy themselves about. The Serpentine is a lovely space to walk around and see the glint of the low autumn sun imagining you are in the middle of the countryside. It’s a lovely place with so much to take in and so many changes to witness through the seasons.

Today ordered Toad in the hole with mashed potatoes, vegetables and gravy. Followed by coffee cake and tea.
New item on the menu cooked just like my grandmother used to make.
Mince and onion pie and steak and ale pie just some of the other meals eaten at this local friendly cafe.
Five stars all round😋

Durante il mio primissimo pomeriggio a Londra sono andata alla ricerca di scoiattoli.
Mi trovavo in zona Royal College of Music Museum e da li a poco la mia passeggiata mi ha portata fino ai Giardini di Kensington che confinano con Hyde Park.
Qui ho incontrato tanti scoiattoli molto simpatici e con uno in particolare ho avuto la fortuna di scattare delle bellissime fotografie.
Naturalmente avevo con me delle noccioline in modo da poterli ingaggiare prendendoli per la gola.
All'interno del parco ci sono tante persone in bicicletta o a passeggio con il cane e ho avuto anche la fortuna di assistere a diverse scenette comiche dove i cani incuriositi dagli scoiattoli tentavano di avvicinarli ma loro puntualmente si rifuggivano sugli alberi.
Proseguendo nel percorso si giunge a Round Pond un laghetto circolare che ospita dei cigni situato praticamente di fronte a Kensington Palace.
Il parco è davvero enorme adatto a tutti sia famiglie con bambini che coppie che sportivi.
Aria pulita e prati curati in vero stile londinese.

Kensington Gardens is one the most beautiful places that walked through. It's located west of Hyde Park, Kensington is made up of many amazing smaller gardens, statutes, and man made ponds, that are connected many paths. Inside of Kensington Gardens you can find, Kensington Palace, where some the royals live, the Italian Gardens, Diana Memorial Playground, and Albertopolis, so wear comfy shoes, there will be a lot of walking. This is a great place to relax, exercise, walk, meet, gaze, and enjoy the way, it really insulates you from the hectic London streets.

Yesterday we were taken to the gardens by a friend who lives nearby, it was good to be given a sort of walking tour around the area .
Plenty to see, lovely well maintained place .
The sunken garden beside the palace is very beautiful and made very special with the Princess Diana Statue.
Lovely place to spend time for a bit of peace and quiet to enjoy nature in the busy city

Beautiful gardens and well worth having a look.

After two non-stop days of London tourism, my wife & I needed a breather. Since our hotel was only about a mile south of Kensington Gardens, we chose that as our weekday morning walking destination primarily to enjoy the early summer flowers. The Gardens property was much larger than I imagined, so we didn't cover nearly as much of the grounds as I had wished. But the tree-lined walks & open spaces (with largely level grades presenting easy access for all visitors) were just the sort of relaxing environment we needed to recharge.

Disfrutamos de los jardines porque no teníamos entradas sacadas con anterioridad para visitar el Palacio así que solo pudimos ver los jardines que tampoco es que tengan demasiados trabajos que ver, son bastantes plantas en diferentes verdes y la estatua de Lady Di que han colocado sus hijos que no había visto hace 11 años

We came here just to see the Princess Diana Sunken Memorial Garden. It did not disappoint!
A beautiful statue of the late princess surrounded by three children representing her charity work with children around the world is a very fitting tribute and a very good likeness.
The garden itself is awash with color. The walkway around the garden allows viewpoints all around. A must see when you visit the Kensington Gardens.

Are picnics allowed in the gardens? I'm visiting the natural history museum and would love to stop after and have a picnic with my son and husband.

Yes no problems. It's a very large garden or park about 10 kilometres in perimeter if counting the attached Hyde Park and many parts are also wild.. Best wishes. P.

There is no entrance fee to Kensington Gardens. If you mean Kensington Palace as far as I can see there is no reduction for disabled people but carers are free however you must email them beforehand - email address on their website.

The Diana Exhibition is on thru the end of the year. But many dates are already sold out. Check with the Kensington Palace website to purchse tickets as soon as possible in advance. There also seem to be some last minute tickets released each day if you are willing to take a chance & line up for them. Good luck - looks like a splendid show & well worth the price. The Palace itself is magnificent & you won’t want to miss it esp in Royal Wedding season!

I am told the Princess Diana Exhibit is sold out for the summer. We will be going end of July. Is there a combination tour or some other avenue to get tickets, and do the entrance ticket to Kensington allow you to see exhibit? thanks,

We had the LondonPass and it gave us free entrance to Kensington Palace including the Diana exhibit. We did not buy the tickets in advance, we just walked up to the door. Went on a Friday in early June. Diana exhibit was breathtaking!

Just want to clarify: we are focused on the gardens rather than the palace itself, and might even enjoy a picnic lunch from Marks and Spencer nearby. I believe the gardens are free to visit and that picnicking is also permitted. (How convenient and lucky to also take in the roof garden at M&S the same day!)
