We had a brilliant day at Battersea Park. The zoo is lovely for smaller children. They have meerkats, otters, monkeys and birds - to name a few.
There’s also a good sized sandpit and a helicopter to climb in, all of which goes down well.
My children. friends and I then had a picnic near the cricket hut.
The fountains were too tempting so my children had a splash and a paddle.
My one word of warning. The car park is very pricey. It’s £10.20 for up to three hours, and £17 for up to five hours.
Other than that - this is a beautiful, well maintained park with plenty for children to do. We plan to go back and enjoy the playground next time.

On the banks of the River Thames, this is a large park with lots going on.
There are multiple sports facilities, including an athletics rack and astroturf pitches, a large boat lake, sun tropical gardens, an impressive Buddhist pagoda and more.
Free to enter.

I enjoyed a pleasant hour or so wandering the park on a visit to Battersea to see a show in the area. It's a generously-sized park in London, located close to the Thames and within walking distance of Chelsea Bridge and Victoria station.
It has a large boating lake, bandstand, various gardens, a Go-Ape attraction, it also features the London Peace Pagoda and a children's zoo. Some of the attractions are subject to an admission charge (the children's zoo was around £14 for an adult) but the park itself is free to enter. There are toilets in the park which were of reasonable standard.
On a nice day this park would be very pretty to enjoy some time just chilling. It was overcast on my visit but was still an enjoyable visit.

We spent the best part of 2 hours here today, more or less walking around the perimeter as well as exploring the paths around the lakes and ponds. The park was very busy but it is still peaceful and beautiful, one of the most impressive parks outside of central London.

Battersea Park and Gardens are a gorgeous and relaxing place - very good transport links. Many beautiful trees in the park and lovely historic gardens. We walked for a long time

well worth a visit.
make sure you go in good weather(sunny)
enough activities to keep all the young ones occupied.
Good ambience all round in a party atmosphere
Foodies will be happy with so many choices for fast food and fine dining too.
drinkers will rock with nice pubs and freshly brewed beer.
nice view of the thames.
Spend a day there!!!

Visiting very dog friendly Battersea power station have to find this nice park what is very unusual for me with a lot surprises ! Travelling with dog I find park is amazing location for walks and get new friends with nice garden and caffe place ! Nice riverside walk

Lovely great park. Has a big pond. Too busy with people and dog walkers. Parts of it too urbanised. Worth finding the quieter spots to appreciate nature.

Beautiful, large, safe park to walk through with a child. Nice, large playground in the park as well as tennis courts, etc. We saw many people walking their dogs. There are boats although they were closed for service when we were there. The pond in the center has ducks, geese, etc. We walked through the park to get to the small zoo in the center which was small but interactive. Apparently there is a mini golf course at this park too that we missed! We will be back to play here absolutely.

It is always great to visit Battersea Park. Beautiful gardens surrounded by established trees and in the centre of London. The paths are wide and it is easy walking. Great for young families, couples and grandparents too. A good place to escape the hustle and just relax.

Hi, yes the boating lake was open when we were there, it's wasn't really busy either and looked like people were really enjoying the lake.

My daughter is running in a competition on the track in Battersea Park this Saturday. We will be driving to London. Please advise where the closest place to park for several hours would be. Thank you.

There is a big car park inside the park. Not sure about prices or amount of time you can be there though
