Absolutely brilliant day out to York Christmas market. Although the train was delayed by half an hour, the luxury and customer service more than made up for it.
The care and attention throughout the journey both ways could not have been bettered - we were very well looked after.
Peach Bellini to greet us to our comfy seats and bottomless tea and coffee all the way along with a lovely breakfast on the way out, Danish pastries before we arrived and a superb dinner on the way back - the chef really pulled out the stops!
The information on the engine and the route was fascinating and a great keepsake
If there was to be a criticism it would be that the bread accompanying dinner was not taken straight from the fridge but could not fault anything else
Hope to do it again next year!

Fantastic day out. Did the London to Bath day trip on Britannia in First Class non-dining. It was exceptional. Lovely seats, plenty of space, very attentive staff, excellent range of tea, coffee, sparkling pear cider and snacks throughout the trip. Also took a picnic on board, after recommendation from Steam Dreams themselves, but was still given the same excellent service as others who didn't.
Whilst it's a high end price, it certainly delivered a premium experience. Would absolutely recommend and do again.

Where should I start? The Chichester trip was second to none. The carriages were incredible and the locomotive was stunning. The staff couldn’t have done anymore to make the trip ever so perfect for our party. Special thanks especially to Ellie, Faris and Harriet. Truly impeccable service!

Sunset steam journey from Victoria. What can I say apart from “Wow “ ! It was an amazing evening. The Pullman carriage dining experience was just fabulous. The service and food were both great. Couldn’t find fault with a single thing.

From start to finish a fabulous experience. Staff all extremely polite, helpful and friendly.
I have dietary restrictions but the effort by every member of staff to allow me to have food served on board was incredible and I thank everyone so much.
The trip gave train spotters a wonderful photo experience and stations we passed made onlookers smile seeing such a splendid Train.
A wonderful gift from our son one to highly recommend to anyone looking for something different to do.

We travelled on the Sunset Hills trip on Tuesday. It was faultless. We had premium dining and were in coach B We were welcomed on board and shown to our table, just after we left the champagne came round.. the train was diesel hauled to Willesden Junction where Brittania took over for the rest of the journey.
The dinner was moreish and the service impeccable. Mrs Kentish Traveller is a vegetarian, and thoroughly enjoyed her meal too. .Wine with dinner is extra but its a lot less than Toby Carvery charge.. we had the Chianti, it was delicious..
We lefr at 18.15 and arrived. Back at
Victoria 1 minute early at 21.59... There was a nice atmosphere and it felt really cosy when it began to get dark and the lights came on.. special thanks to the staff, they were so helpful. We will be back..

We had a lovely evening on the Surrey Hills service. Excellent food and drink. The carriage was wonderful and the staff friendly and efficient. We had originally scheduled this for last August, but had to reschedule due to having surgery for cancer. They were really helpful and I finally had my birthday treat this year. We;ve used Steam Dreams several times and highly recommend them.

Went from Southend to Chester with the Pulman experience. The classic vintage carriage was great with very comfortable chairs. The food was exceptional and the staff were so attentative. Loved the experience and we are now looking to book York

Highly recommend…. My dad and I were on the sunset tour yesterday, 13/8, and both had an amazing time together, the whole experience from beginning to end was way above my expectations, the train itself it stunning and so well looked after, and the staff are just the cherry on top, Debbie and her team work incredibly hard and definitely go above and beyond to make the customers happy, I just mentioned that I worked in hospitality and was intrigued as to how a kitchen on a train worked, next thing I knew she had arranged for me to go and meet nick in the team in the kitchen once service had finished, nick was more than happy to chat with me, which I really appreciated. Then there is the cocktail carriage, what a special space that is, and again the bartenders were great, I forgot to get their names , but both were happy to accommodate, chat and take photos for me. Thank you, it was memory making time for both my dad and myself, couldn’t of been any better!

We’re due to travel Pullmans style to Carlisle in a couple of weeks - journey over 8 hours - would you recommend taking food or is there plenty available? Any tips/comments very much appreciated.

If you are in Standard Class there is no meal provided. You can buy food on the train but it is fairly snacky and may not comply with any dietary requirements you have. We cought M&S sarnies both ways so to be sure, take your own. The stop off in Carlisle means you can get something to eat then of course. Enjoy your trip.

Most definitely book the best you can afford, the food and service is excellent and the whole thing a wonderful experience. A good opportunity to dress up as well.

Hi there, our next trip from Stevenage to York is on Sunday 27 August 2017.
It is scheduled to leave Stevenage at approximately 9am, and arrive at York at approximately 1230.
You will then have about 6 hours to spend in York before re-boarding the train and arriving back at Stevenage at 930pm.
Please note this trip is diesel hauled throughout.
Fares range from £89pp for a Premium Standard seat, up to £225 for Pullman Style Dining, which includes a three course champagne breakfast on the outward journey and a four course meal with wine and canapes on the return journey.
