I went to see this production with high expectations based on reviews. Unfortunately the experience was totally ruined by the fact that the temperature in the theatre was so low that after a few minutes I had to put on my coat, scarf and gloves again. The temperature measured in the low single degrees. I persevered for the whole of the first act. Just after the intermission I approached the theatre staff in order to express concern about the temperature. I was offered a blanket which I only then realised many patrons were using. My conclusion is that the theatre staff knew that there was a problem in advance. I had to leave as I could tolerate the cold environment. This is not what I expect for £150+ ticket.

Whilst the Hamilton Show was excellent, it was difficult to concentrate on the show in such an uncomfortable seat. Leg room is appalling. If you above 5’5” forget it! I couldn’t wait to leave. Such a shame and the tickets were £100. Never again!

Hamilton - the sound was awful at the Victoria Palace Theatre. Could only hear/understand about 25%. Waste of time and money. The diction of half the main characters was sloppy and the orchestra was too loud, overpowering the live voices. The acoustics of this grand old theatre did not help. They had one job and failed epically.

Hamilton is the show on here at the moment. Lovely theatre. Comfy seats. Hamilton was absolutely amazing. Staff were friendly. I would go back to this theatre in the future.

I have been to thousands of theatre around the world. This is the worst in terms of leg room. If you are above 172cm (5'8")... do not go

Went to see Hamilton on 2/1/25. Show was great. We sat in the Victoria box on the right side. Nobody behind us, individual chairs we could move about and loads of legroom but no waiter service.
Bar staff very friendly and could pre order drinks for the break.
The only problem we had was it was freezing the whole way through the show, my 74 year old mum sat with her hat and gloves and they brought her a blanket but she was still freezing. Loads of people complaining about how cold it was but they couldn’t heat it up.

This is a very beautiful theatre but……. We sat in the royal circle where the view of the stage is excellent. We were squashed into tiny uncomfortable seats. My knees were pressed against the seat in front and I am only 5’6”. The back of the chair was hard and upright and we could not move. While I have only experienced seating in one section of the theatre I won’t be returning to risk another uncomfortable 3 hours.

DO NOT GO NEAR THIS THEATRE IF YOU ARE TALLER THAN 5’8”….the seats and leg room are the smallest I have ever encountered (I was a performer and have been to over 1000 theatres worldwide). Stress positions are used for torture and this was my experience in watching Hamilton. My knees still ached the next day, my son and daughter-in-law couldn’t feel their legs at the end of the show. This theatre has just been renovated and looks beautiful - but seating is the essence and management and producers have decided to totally rip people off. Seating size and leg room are well known fundamentals in the theatre world… shame on them!!!

For starters the show "Hamilton" was amazing. The theater is cramped, which isn't so bad, but it gets very (VERY) warm inside, so dress accordingly. In addition, there are no enough bathrooms. During intermission, the lines were so long that some people were being asked to return to their seats. Those are the only 2 negatives. So I recommend dress accordingly and use the bathroom before you arrive or the show starts. Other than that, it was amazing.

From what I remember there is both, but it might be good to check the theatre's official website to see if it says anything about cash or card payments. Hope this helps.

If I purchase snacks and drinks from the bar, am I allowed to continue eating/drinking them inside the theater? Or do I need to finish them all before going to my seat?

I know they allow drinks brought in but only in plastic cups

Can someone confirm - are you allowed small, canned alcoholic drinks into the stalls? London prices are relatively high and so we are trying to cut costs on our trip where possible. Thanks in advance :)

The sears are quite decent. I would be size 20/22 and they were really comfortable. Its just people going in an out past would need to make sure you are back against the chair as much as you can when you stand up.
