I went on Sunday to buy healthy food, unfortunately all the people who sell food don’t wear a masks! They breath on top of the food and on your face, how we suppose to support your business when you don’t make your customers feel safe?

I’ve eaten here a lot of times and food is usually good, but this weekend the place just took a nose dive.
We ordered and two couples came in way after us and they received their food first.
I have a feeling mine was left standing as it was stone cold. They also forgot my side order of black pudding.
When I complained my food was stone cold, they took it back. I had cut open one of the poached eggs.
I watched as they discussed and pointed. Finally it was returned to me, semi warm. The same cut egg!!! They had shoved it in the microwave.
Honestly, shocked and won’t ever visit again!
Not sure why it was so bad this time.
Everyone gets a duff dish sometimes but serving me back the same dish, with the sauce then crusty after being zapped just added insult to injury!

Pre-ordered a pumpkin pecan pie for Canadian Thanksgiving. What can I say but simply delicious. I also requested, a maple 🍁 leaf motif to be done on it with a dusting of icing sugar, which was a lovely touch to finish the pie off. Definitely recommend and worth every penny. I will be ordering for next year.

All the food we had was good. That's good - well done with the food.
3 separate members of staff didn't bring the glass of wine I ordered. The staff seemed pleasant enough but either incompetent or insufficient staff.

The Redhead and I have been regulars since the Market opened. We don't stint and, of course, you can buy cheaper in Sainsbury's, but what you will miss is locally sourced, fresh and genuinely flavoursome food. For us, the highlights are Tim on the salad/herbs store (Wild Country Organics), Jason on fruit and veg (Brockman's); Nick and Paul on (Veasey's) fish; Andrew on (Brockman's Farm) butchers and Mags on (Comfort and Joy) deli. There are also good guest stalls, including Greek olive oil, Spanish cheeses and especially Pedro from Wine Scouts. My only complaint is that this great Saturday market gives the Redhead a compelling reason for not wanting to move away from the area. The market is truly excellent and the people in it have a real love of their produce.

I always walk away with something yummy to eat and love looking at the craft shops. It's not a Saturday morning without checking out this local market. Lady that sells the falafel wrap gets an A* - yumbo!

Cute market off the triangle in Crystal Palace with an excellent biodynamic butcher, lots of organic/biodynamic vegetables, a walk in organic "grain grocer' with everything in jars to buy by weight, fish direct off a boat with oyster bar, raw milk, local cheese, british charcuterie, fantastic bread, artisan wine and beer and some street food. Look out for the Transition Town projects - Handmade Palace (everything made in Palace) and Patchwork Farm (everything grown in Palace) as well as Buskers' Paradise. Nice little cafe too under the recording studios, Antenna. Sometimes great kid's activities.

A small but excellent food market, particularly good for vegetables, bread, cakes, meat and fish. Most stalls are regular (the market is open roughly 10am-3pm on Saturdays), but there's a rolling space for different hot takeaway stalls (goulash, for instance). The bottom area of the market is best for raw ingredients; the top bit for bread and the best brownies you've ever eaten, plus there's often Gipsy Hill's local brewery partaking, and a couple selling wine direct from France. Stock up on quality product, get lunch while you're there (though there's limited seating) and maybe catch a performance from a local act.
