Lovely gardens with accessible path. Lakes and water garden particularly charming. Kitchen garden with lots of labelled plants. Just a lovely place to walk around and enjoy a variety of scenery and plants. Also enjoyed cafe with a variety of good quality dishes.

The Gardens were well aid out and the staff working were very polite and pleasant. the colours of the azalea's was stunning, viewed from walking down the hard surfaced road. Off the beaten track was muddy and not welcoming, nothing that we wasn't warned about before travelling.
When getting there be prepared for narrow lanes and other drivers not wanting to give way, but once there it was enjoyable.
We ate in the Garden Cafe which was nice and a request for something which was an adaption of the menu was met with encouraging agreement. When it arrived it was nicely presented and very acceptable

The lady on reception provided a friendly welcome and map. We explored the neatly kept walled garden, with its bulging fruit trees. The lawn garden housed some rare plants, no butterflies present but several dragonflies. The mown path strips were still wet in the late afternoon. The lake water very algae stagnant.
It’s inexpensive to get in so worth a visit if you’re in the area.

David and I love visiting the gardens. We always find solitude and peace along the lake walk. I love the wildlife and am thrilled if I am treated to a sighting of the tiny little frogs. We also enjoy the cottage garden, often pinching ideas for planting and never pass up a cuppa and cake in the tearooms.
We have visited many times and always come back when we visit Norfolk.

Simply one of my favourite places to visit and I go at least once each year. The gardens are at their best when the azaleas and rhododendrons are in bloom and during those times they are hard to beat. The walled garden is lovely throughout the summer. Parking is easy and close to the entrance and the garden cafe serves lovely food.

Had a lovely visit to Hoveton Hall gardens this weekend, and saw the DOT Theatre Company's production of Pygmalion. Rachel and Harry very thoughtfully relocated the stage in order to allow the audience to sit in the shade, and provided non-stop fresh water to keep us all hydrated. Fantastic performance, as was last year's, and fantastic hospitality from the Buxton family as always. Highly recommend.

The gardens are unique and a great way to see a variety of mature vegetation. A highlight for me was the spider garden which in itself Is beautiful and a great place for photos.

After all the hustle and bustle of Wroxham these gardens are a tranquil oasis for the discerning visitor. A variety of environments to explore from the formal walled garden to the woodland to the north. Beautifully maintained with careful consideration of sustainability and wildlife preservation there are many valuable lessons to be learned by even the most experienced gardener.

We were here on a day when they had no visitors from midday and they had planned to close early due to inclement weather
We insisted we wanted to still visit and all of a sudden we had a break in the weather and we had the place to ourselves
We really enjoyed the walled and the exterior garden - great layout verdant very intimate with a dazzling display of diverse summer blooms well cared for

Has John the gardner the one that started right after the war, did he pass away I was there in late 80's early 90's and he show a bust they did of him, did they put it up in the garden?

Hello, yes John was our gardener but he passed away a few years ago. There is a bust of him in the walled garden.

Yes a lot of it is, there are gravel paths, grass and concrete paths. Wheelchair users and their carers have a reduced entrance fee.
