Lovely historic building and the cafe is a great place to take a break. Food is freshly cooked and I was assured the coffee is very good, the tea was just right. Friendly service in comfortable surroundings

35 minutes wait for a toasted sandwich. Pepsi Max with no gas - replaced with another with no gas. 4 clueless staff and a chef who can’t make a toasted sandwich. What a disgrace. Do avoid.

Greeted very invitingly by Will on the front desk. Answered all my questions having never been here before.
Great environment in the bar and dining area.
Was served at the bar by Rebecca promptly and graciously.
Film was exceptional and will definitely return!

Visited with my wife. Paid £24.80 for 2 tickets and the screen we sat in was really cold on a cold night. Very poor experience.

I’m a big fan of the a Picturehouse chain of cinemas. This is a little gem set in the historic centre of Norwich. Welcoming staff and a good movie experience (‘Emma’ for me). Nice little restaurant and bar area too.

Quirky cinema experience in historic building. Unusual and attractive setting with bar and cafe service serving hot and cold meals to enjoy either before or after film, or even just to drop in for coffee. Worth going to enjoy the building alone - seeing a film there is an added bonus! Would return without question.

Having been a very keen and passionate member of Cinema City for a long period of time, I am becoming more and more disappointed at the lack of film choices for the more discerning film goer. I have enjoyed many foreign language films and a variety of thought provoking independent films covering many genres. However, it seems we are no longer being catered for. Most of the films shown are either popular culuture or blockbusters. Most of these films can be seen at the major cinemas chains for,sometimes, a third of the price. Cinema City is expensive and I wonder why I should pay these prices to see the same film elsewhere.
Yes, Cinema City is by far a better venue.but I want to go there and be offered a choice of films of a more discerning nature.
I know I am not the only person who feels like this. But maybe it is all about making money!

We tried Cinema City for the first time this week as we wanted to see Cats in the daytime and this was the only cinema offering it. The screening was packed so we were clearly not the only ones. We found the online booking process efficient(good thing we did book as it was so busy) and enjoyed the whole experience. There is a very smart restaurant and bar and the historical building makes this a very different experience to the normal cinema visit. The other viewers were well behaved so were able to enjoy the film in peace. By the way CATS was well worth seeing, ignore the critics if you like musicals, you will like this film. We will definitely consider visiting Cinema City again soon and the price of tickets would be more attractive if we bought a membership.

We have been members here for some time, it is our favourite cinema in Norwich. The selection of films to watch is nearly always diverse and watchable, staff are friendly and helpful. The live streaming has added a new dimension to our viewing and is to be applauded (pun intended). All in all, a lovely place to go. Oops nearly forgot the bar and restaurant, also highly recommended.

I accompanied a group of ex-Round Tablers interested in their founder Louis Marchesi who began the organisation on this site. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, pointing out the various monuments, including opening up the adjacent John Hurt centre. The group who were visiting Norwich, were delighted.
