Saw 'The Great Escaper' Trully wonderful film at what was once called The Errol Flynn theatre. An inspiring name and linked to the theatrical history of the town. So some bright spark at the council decide to change it to Northampton Filmhouse. Our council has the imagination and stle of a reclaimed breeze block and the name does not do justice to a spendid venue. Comfortable, great staff and films delivered at a volume that do not make your ears bleed. Please give support to this, the only place to view quality films.

Great venue

Great venue. Very clean. Very comfortable seats. Smaller screen and less seats which we really enjoyed. Drinks and snacks available. Toilets are in Derngate a 30 second walk away. We parked a little walk away. Staff friendly. Will definitely go again.

As alway a great experience. We went on 23rd and 24th December.
Staff friendly, various snacks available, seating comfortable and spacious.

Absolutely Awful - not sure what everyone is raving about
I went to see black panther, the cinema was so cold that no one removed their coats let alone their hats and scarves. The top of the screen was wavy throughout the entire movie and the sound was so awful to the point where I could barely make out what was being said as it was all muffled.
The food and drink on sale lacked variety.

I’ve heard many rave about this cinema so wanted to give it a go, definitely will not be revisiting this venue ever again, what a disappointment, very expensive cinema when cineworld or vue would have been a much better experience.
Save your money.

Best kept secret!

The best kept secret in the town

This is simply the best place to see a film and has a constant changing program to suit all tastes

Amazing seats, helpful staff and no popcorn munching or mobiles blaring! Fabulous atmosphere

Drinks are a bit pricy though!

But overall one of the best nights out in the town

Went to watch the new spencer film. Was Uber comfortable seating. Friendly staff. Expensive drinks and snacks, would recommend bringing your own.

Love this filmhouse. Comfortable seats, easy to book on line and pickup the tickets when you get there, a bar that also serves coffee. A place one can visit alone.

I don't want too many people to go here!

So much better than larger cinemas- quieter, more variety of movies, you can relax with a glass of wine and the films actually start on time, the adverts/trailers are beforehand.

Great Cinema

I love going to this cinema, wouldn't want to go to any other. It has 2 small cinemas both having large screens, seats being well apart and very comfortable. You can take a coffee or a glass of wine in with you,doesnt do much in the way of snacks. I suggest you book your seats as its very popular.

Excellent comfortable cinema

There is nothing to not like about this place and it has revived my interest in cinema.
Generally free from morons who talk through films and make endless noises eating and answering their phones.
i am reluctant to tell anyone about it !!
