Good place, but hard to get there. Sensational café carries it. OK walk, awful parking stops it going to a 4 star rating but free if you are a national trust member.

. . . we enjoyed a walk with our spaniel, made perfect when the sun came out, and showing the autumnal colours in all their glory. Recovering from a broken ankle, the walk was along trails which were easy to navigate. We sat outside to enjoy our scones and hot drinks; excellent self-service cafe with friendly service when needed; this is going to be one of our favourite walks as we have moved to the area.

The Peak District just keeps on giving. The information centre was manned by some very nice ladies. They were very welcoming and friendly, pointed me in the direction of the cafe as a injury prevented me from walking. The café was staffed by some helpful friendly staff (especially the lady who carried my coffee for me as I was using a crutch) The men were also very polite and helpful, just a few that could do with either people skills training or how to talk nicely to other staff.. only a minority, so the rest you were awesome. I think the general public could do with being able to read as I noticed 3 people with dogs sitting outside of the dog seating area, so perhaps that needs to be addressed..I don't agree with dogs being inside the food area but if they must then sit in the correct area.

A lovely place to go for a walk. Situated in the Peak District National Park, near the town of Hathersage, this beautiful area offers plenty to see and explore. Lots of well-defined paths through fields, woods and open moors with some amazing natural sites such as rock formations and ravines. Lots of colourful purple heather covers the moors. There are different car parking areas within the Longshaw estate, owned by the National Trust. A place well worth a visit.

Lovely cafe but the wait was appalling. Really long queue with more staff putting pots away than serving customers. Please get more staff!

Longshaw is becoming one of my favourite places. The views are gorgeous and the cafe is great, lots of lovely walks, loads of things to do and activities in abundance. I came a few months ago when I was 7 months pregnant and I cannot commend the staff enough, they came to my rescue when I fainted down by the pond with ice packs and a chair, they walked with me all the way back to the cafe and took me into the office. They were so caring and attentive. A lovely short blond lady who works at the welcome hut (im so sorry I can’t remember your name), Amelia, Jack and the whole team are so caring. I came back today after a few months and they all remembered me and gave me a big hug and asked about my pregnancy. It was so nice to thank them and introduce them to my daughter who arrived safely a few weeks ago.
Phenomenal staff team who really make a visit to longshaw even more special.

Great stroll around this national Trust estate. Easy walking on well maintained paths. Good cafe and visitor centre. Plenty of parking

Really lovely estate with great walks and helpful friendly welcoming NT staff
Visited on a Friday. Cafe had lq lovely selection of cakes and scones. However no butter or strawberry jam. Asked staff to check and confirmed no stock. How can a popular venue not have proper inventory controls and especially ahead of weekend trade. Poor experience NT!!

A brilliant base with fantastic views and very useful for exploring the local area. We’ve been several times now and used the trails initially before finding the confidence to go off a little further. There is a good cafe and well maintained toilets. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely place to go walking. Lots of parking and clean toilets. Various walks you can do depending on what you want. Helpful NT staff and little cafe. One of our favourite places to come and walk.

Yes you can. Just make sure you pay for parking. The cafe is lovely. The shop is within the centre
