I decided to visit Nottingham by bicycle and this tour was an excellent idea: in 2 hours I could see the town, cycle along the canals, learn about the new train station, the old one now be converted into a gym, learn about the history of Nottingham, the Castle, the Bridges crossing the River Trent and much more. The guide Ben, is very well informed on several topics including history and construction and is very passionate about his job and his beloved City. If you come to Nottingham I strongly recommend you a bike tour, it is the best way to see the city and its surroundings.

Highly recommend taking this tour even if you're a local. Very informative and a great value for money! Nadeem and Ben make excellent and fun guides.

Good fun with Nadeem and Ben ! We spent 2 hours with them and discovered Nottingham more deeply. I recommend their Nottingham tour !

I highly recommend taking the cycle tour because this is probably one of the best ways to see this town
Ben and Nadeem were absolutely amazing. They were so patient and made sure we were not just safe but made the 9 miles enjoyable!!
I guarantee you that you will see parts of Nottingham that u have never seen before

Nadeem & Ben AKA Nottingham Cycle tours put together a great ‘purpose built’ circular tour taking in a number of Nottingham’s greatest engineering landmarks.
Along the way we stopped at pre-determined sites whereby by Nadeem & Ben spoke at length about the history, particular construction techniques and engineering feats about the various instantly recognisable landmarks in and around the city. From the Railway Station to the diversion of the River Leen, Nadeem and Ben confidently spoke about each of the stops.
Even though I have lived in Nottingham my whole life, and pass a number of these sites on a daily basis, Nottingham Cycle Tours shed a new light on these, and I left having learnt things I never knew about my home city.
The whole ride was kept at a comfortable pace, which even a novice cyclist could easily manage.
I throughly enjoyed the tour, and have already spoken to Nadeem about joining them on another ride.
Give the lads a shout, and have a great ride out seeing another side of Nottingham.

I joined Ben and Nadeem for the Civil Engineering tour of Nottingham in June (celebrating the Institution of Civil Engineering's 200th anniversary) and over the course of about 3 hours we explored Nottingham. The tour was well-paced with regular stops for a bit of the history and a break for drinks and ice-creams.
Our route took in lots of the city's sights (including some I didn't even know existed!) almost entirely off-road. It was great to see Nottingham from the canal towpath and cycleways alongside the tram, as well as the more familiar routes such as the Victoria Embankment and the cycle lane on Castle Boulevard.
The pace was just right and Ben and Nadeem shared loads of interesting information as we went along.
Highly recommended whether you live in Nottingham or are visiting.

In Nottingham alone for work for a week I decided to discover the city and its surroundings with a bike tour (price 15 pounds). I booked Friday for Saturday. Appointment @ Market Square at 3pm. You have to bring your own bike or rent a city bike or ask Nottingham cycle tours to rent one for 10 pounds.
I opted for a city bike and they accompanied me to pick it up. Compared to a normal citybike with gearbox, it is heavier and less easy to use.
Ben and Nadir guided me for over 3 hours to all corners of the city and the surrounding area: we have seen all the University sites, from the historical to the futuristic; we visited all the most important historical and touristic places, the ancient pubs, the galleries dug in the stone, the castle, the canals, the Trent River. We also took a long ride inside the Wollaton Hall and Deer Park, pedaling alongside the reindeers!
We have been cycling for over 20 km. The route is very pleasant, even if with ascents and descents. A minimum amount of training, or at least the habit of cycling, is required.
Ben and Nadir are civil engineers, they know and have studied in depth the history of the city and its evolution over time and they love to share every detail and anecdote.
For a modest price, I received more than I expected.
I highly recommend this bike tour to anyone who wants to discover Nottingham and loves to move with their legs!

A Nottingham da sola per lavoro per una settimana ho deciso di scoprire la città e i dintorni con un bike tour (prezzo 15 pounds). Ho prenotato venerdÌper sabato. Appuntamento a Market square alle 15. Bisogna portare la propria bicicletta o noleggiare una citybike oppure chiedere a Nottingham cycle tours di affittarne una per 10 pounds.
Ho optato per una citybike e mi hanno accompagnata a ritirarla. Rispetto ad una normale citybike con cambio e’ piu’ pesante e meno agevole da utilzzare.
Ben e Nadir mi hanno guidata per oltre 3 ore in tutti gli angoli della città e dei dintorni: siamo passati da tutte le sedi dell’Università, da quelle storiche a quelle futuristiche; abbiamo visitato tutti i più importanti luoghi storici e turistici, gli antichi pub, le gallerie scavate nella pietra, il castello, i canali, il Trent River. Abbiamo anche fatto un lungo giro all’interno del Wollaton Hall and Deer Park, pedalando accanto alle renne!
Abbiamo pedalato per oltre 20 km. Il percorso e’ piacevolissimo, seppur con salite e discese. E’ necessario un minimo di allenamento o perlomeno l’abitudine a muoversi in bicicletta.
Ben e Nadir sono ingegneri civili, conoscono e hanno studiato approfonditamente la storia della citta’ e la sua evoluzione nel tempo e amano rendervi partecipi di ogni dettaglio e anedotto.
Per un modico prezzo, ho ricevuto piu’ di quanto mi aspettassi.
Consiglio vivamente questo bike tour a chiunque voglia scoprire Nottingham e ami muoversi con le proprie gambe!

Together with my wife and nephew we took part in the ICE200 Engineering Tour organised by Nottingham Cycle Tours. Almost all of the tour was off road and also in the flat terrain so even after a few years break from cycling we haven't found it physically demanding. Having lived in Nottingham for over a decade I was surprised with hidden gems we were shown during the tour. We really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend.
