Will delivered a well balanced day consisting of a detailed and confidence-building introduction to abseiling and a beginners course for mountain biking (including a bit of night-time riding!) with a friendly, accessible and approachable style that made the day very rewarding for four beginners who will definitely do more of both activity in the future.

Fear of Heights course - absolutely fantastic. Started with a half day of theory with Owen our psychotherapist & hypnotherapist who explained the science behind our phobia & coached us through visualisation, deep relaxation, and taking control of our fight/flight/freeze response. Then we went outside & met Matt, Adam & Angie who taught us to abseil, first down a small slope, then gradually grading exposure to finish the day with an abseil down a 20m rock face. Day 2 was scrambling and learning to climb, really slow and steady, building up to a massive rock climb. Never thought I'd be able to do these things but the crew were amazing, really calm & supportive, and great team spirit with the other guys doing the course. Really enjoyed it, achieved my goals, and will be signing up for more Will4Adventure adventures! Thank you team.

The day was exceptional and a memory we'll cherish.
Huge props to Adam for going through everything we specifically asked for and explaining all the relevant safety procedures in a clear and engaging way (explaining why each step was needed, what would go wrong if it wasn't done correctly). We felt incredibly safe and learned some solid foundations! Already looking forward to booking the next session once we get some top rope/sport practice in.

Fear of Heights
Excellent course in which Owen highlighted why people are afraid of heights in the classroom and then took us out on to the Peaks. Adam and Haydn slowly and with a lot of patience built up everyone's confidence to their own levels so that no one was pushed past their limits. I still cannot believe that I abseiled down a 40ft drop and climbed a 50 -60 ft rock face (still on a high). On the other scale someone was nervous about steep slopes and how they would be able to get back. By the end of the weekend they where enjoying a walk along the top of Stannage Edge with no worries!.
Still not sure how I manged it but I now think anything is possible with the right mind set.

What a wonderful, uplifting, positive experience. I went from being terrified and restricted by anything that involved being at height to being rational, capable and confident whilst still recognising my limitations. The classroom based session paved the way for what was to come when we stepped outside into the beautiful Peak District. All the activities were done in incremental steps and no one felt coerced to do anything that they weren’t comfortable with. Everyone in our group progressed massively and achieved far more than they thought they could prior to the weekend. All in all, a brilliant, worthwhile and enjoyable experience with a professional, supportive and encouraging team.

At the beginning of the month I attended a two day ITC Outdoor First Course at AWCC Sheffied with Will. I found that couse to be very interactive and adaptive. Will Legon was really helpful and even provided knee pads for me for kneeling as I had a bad left knee. The course covered a variety of topics including Epilepsy/seizures and children CPR. Along with active learning the we took part in scenarios and to give it a outdoor feel the scenarios were done in the centres car park.
The venue, Awesome Walls Sheffield, I am familiar with as I have been to the wall a few times including for other work related activities. The majority of the course was held in the comfortable and spacious meeting room on thr second floor.

After attending Will's Fight your Fear of Heights course in 2022 I was keen to test it out so eventually managed to book a weekend in the Lake District with family and friends to try out scrambling on Striding Edge. Not only did we all achieve the aim of scrambling up Striding Edge to Helvellyn but we did it in poor weather and sometimes driving rain! Will was fantastic at building on the skills I'd learned on the previous course as well as helping all the other members of the team, some of whom had a fear of heights and all of whom had never done anything like this before! Day two we did more scrambling in Langdales and were rewarded with fantastic views when the weather cleared in the afternoon. I would thoroughly recommend the course and subsequent scrambling to anyone who wants to experience the outdoors in a safe way.

As someone who has never seen the point of climbing rocks, I was blown away by how much fun it was possible to have with a bunch of new people and climbing gear….Will and Angie were encouraging, with great people skills and the ability to make the whole group feel fantastically capable. Want to do it all again tomorrow!!

I believe I have benefited from the Fear of Heights course. I am more aware of my body and how it moves and how your mind influences that. I have much to practice but I’m looking forward to using my new found knowledge

My wife and I had the most phenomenal weekend with Adam from Will4Adventure. It’s the second time we’ve done this climbing course and we will definitely be back for more. For some context, I love the outdoors so was very stoked for this weekend whereas my wife had only climbed in bouldering gyms and was understandably nervous. It took some convincing and she agree to book the first one . Straight away, we bonded with Adam and we were both comfortably at ease with his style. The highlight for me was watching my wife gaining confidence as we both learned to be a climbing team. Supporting each other belaying, climbing on real rock, abseiling and starting to lead a couple bits. This would not have been possible without Adam and Will4Adventure. Stop reading this and book now :P
