We are a year 8 class who visited Weston Park Museum for a school trip. We worked together to write this review.
Firstly, we loved chilling in the outdoor area, the surroundings were clean and well kept. We all enjoyed looking around the gift shop, it had a great selection of colorful rocks and a wide variety of things to buy. The whole museum was clean and tidy. There were lots of different and interesting exhibitions.

Lovely trip walking around the park grounds seeing the ducks and the museum is free has a fairly new river exhibit and fine art from the graves gallery. Donations are welcomed but not compulsory. Cafe isn’t too badly priced since the museum is free, ice cream van is often outside the main entrance as well which is good on a hot day and not too far from the city centre for travelling.

Great museum & free not the biggest as only one floor but good for a first visit parking near by was a faff as some carparks were extortionate, lovely park to walk in after as well .

Really interesting and fun museum suitable for adults and children. Some permanent collections and some that change, but all are very interesting!
I particularly enjoyed the collection of animals, both modern and prehistoric. The Woolley Rhino is awesome! The ancient Egypt collection was also very cool, featuring real sarcophagus!
The coffee in the cafe was not so great but there museum it's self if amazing and you can make a day of it and have a picnic in Western Park after for a lovely day out.

Western Park Museum is a magnificent building bang next to a beautiful park very popular with the local students. Inside the building it is fairly small but very user friendly with exhibits being split into different rooms in order to distinguish the time periods. Topics such as Sheffield history, steelworks, animal kingdom and even art displays are presented here. This museum has something for everyone and the only reason why I've not put 5* is due to the displays don't change very often so it has lack of re-visit value in a sense. But overall, it is a wonderful museum to visit with the added bonus of it being situated in the middle of a park which is great to sit in on a nice day.

Nice small museum & a beautiful building just beside Weston Park, with displays on the history of Sheffield, including its geography, sporting heritage & steel industries, an art gallery, animal section and even a section with Egyptian displays. There is even a cafe near the entrance of the building (also the nearest cafe when visiting Weston Park).

What Sheffield seems to do well another great museum. Brilliant exhibitions, presented in an interesting way. The Kenneth Steel exhibition was fascinating. Lots to see for all ages, though not so much for pre school age? Will definitely return, too much to see in one visit!

We were having a walk in Weston Park and dropped in to the museum. It is free and has interesting exhibits about Sheffield. Well worth a visit.
