8£ for 4h parking!!!!? What a rape. Over artificial trails, not technical (adapted to eMTBs), too short, definitely not worth the cash.

A stark and beautiful landscape that's surprisingly accessible due to the vast number of car parks and wide, well maintained paths. Quite busy despite the cold weather, and things get rather boring if you wander too far into the mountain biking areas, but a decent place for a couples hours walk.

We have been before but went back with family members the place is lovely and well

Gruffalo Trail With Kids 2-8

Big car park. Lots of toilet facilities including disabled access. Pick up a map for £1.50 from the cafe.
Had all the characters from gruffalo, with play parks as you go round. Big open field for a picnic.
Parking was £5 for 2hours which I thought was steep tbh.
Other than that no negatives. Will definitely be back.

We loved visiting Cannock Chase during our camping holiday. The green cycling paths are ideal for young families. Lovely peaceful surroundings and just perfect for exploring.
Parks are wonderful, our daughters had a great time. The practice mountain bike paths in the parks were a hit and we enjoyed it thoroughly.
Highly recommended and a must visit if you are in the area.

Lovely area of natural beauty

So close to towns and cities and yet when you are in the forest you feel far removed from crowded areas of civilisation.

Plenty of walking and cycling trails in the forest area with loads of parking. There is also a Go Ape centre.

Walking trail takes you around lakes and the paths are wide for walkers and cyclists to use. Cyclists can go on the off beat paths for MTB experience.

Great place to spend time with the kids and take a picnic.

A brilliant time out.

My favourite part was Birches Valley. We sat and had a picnic on one of the tables which was really nice then took a short walk between the trees I would recommend this as a day out for anyone . Children, Cyclists, walkers, it is a very good venue for pop concerts in the evening. We visit often in the summer.

We use to have great fun at Marcus drive in the chase big family’s could go take bbq or picnics play football/outside games this was for all the family young and old as was on flat ground. However this was free to do and guess what we arrived yesterday no bbq allowed and they have let the grass grow long so u cannot play n it they have take bbq facilities away and put yet another park I’m so cross as this was a place the whole family could get together Now seems they just like giving parking tickets out!!! Also they have created a lot of thing to do in the chase which is good but very expensive!! It’s a forest let us enjoy it for free too
