We went on a lovely hours ride around the Suffolk countryside with Stephen, his friend and her horse Dolly. Stephen was lovely and knew so much about the surrounding area (including that Ed Sheeran lived in a nearby village and then we saw him a few days later in said village - highlight). Dolly was a beautiful horse with a lovely temperament and we thoroughly enjoyed the ride and would definitely recommend booking a ride if you are in the Suffolk Countryside.

We went for an hour's carriage drive around the Suffolk countryside pulled by a lovely horse Penny driven by Stephen. This is such a lovely and relaxing way to see the area, and Stephen was a fine host: very friendly and informative.

Booked a pony and trap ride for the grandchildren. Quite an expensive treat but they enjoyed it. They drove right up to our tent and took us on an hours drive around the countryside around sweffling pointing out places of interest along the way, The look of excitement on the children's faces was worth every penny.

My son is 13 and is profoundly disabled and loves horses. The owners were so very kind to him and he really loved his ride around Thorpeness today with Stepehen. Thank you all so much, especially to the beautiful horses who are wonderfully trained.

We had a lovely pony and trap ride and would highly recommend this. The hosts were fabulous! Pick up and drop off from the Sweffling White Horse pub was very convenient!

Have been out with the Alde Driving team many times. Always a good time with lovely people and great horses. Pub tours are my favourite - you can just go for drinks or have a meal lunchtime or evening. Beautiful part of the world too. Coming back from the pub at dusk with the carriages all lit up - perfick!!

Wow wow wow!!! We have just got back from an hour be driven around the local country side in a beautiful little pony and trap!!! Stephen and his co helper ,Carol, were fab and sooooo helpful, as was the fabulous Irish cob horse, Penny, who took as round. My grown up son has learning diffs and autism but loved every second of this family outing. We even could take our little dog with us in the trap!!!! Who could ask or wont for more!! A perfect way to end our holiday in Suffolk . Well done Alde Driving!!!!!!!

We had a ride on the carriage as we were on holiday in Suffolk, it was our 3 years old birthday and it was a nice way to give her a surprise. Very nice experience! Thanks to Molly the horse and Stephan!

We have so fortunate to find Alde Driving. Stephen and Annabel run a small, family friendly, horse drawn carriage driving business. During the summer they can be found at Thorpeness, where they take up to five people on trips around Thorpeness and, if desired, to Aldeburgh along the beautiful Suffolk coastline... Not to be missed.
Other times they are available to take people on pleasure drives, notably to the traditional Sweffling White Horse pub, where you can partake in homemade and seasonal drinks, alcoholic and nonalcoholic. Stephen is a font of knowledge on the area, and adds to the drive.
Last Sunday we went to the pub and enjoyed the Alde Valley countryside and the hot mulled Apple juice. An experience we recommend highly!
