Dissappointed so dirty broken glass pares rubbish on walk ways very where are the council cleaners grafity all over i looked at videos and read research about this area also along the quay side over to gateshead all the same get with it tourists will stop coming look at the seven story childrens boat disgrace

We discovered the lower part of the Ouseburn by accident when walking the quayside and so ventured up it a short way to the Ouseburn farm etc. This prompted us to do it fully from the "practical" northern part down to the mouth. Taking the Metro to South Gosforth we walked to the top of Jesmond Dene Park where the river is accessible and walked though woods down through the park and then two kore parks to reach Byker Bridge the continued along to the mouth at the Tyne.
Plenty of things to see and do along the way with loos and the ability to buy an ice cream (essential) en-route.
We like to walk in nature and explore what is there so if this matches your view give it a go. Easy walking and beautiful scenery.

The River Ouseburn is a small little river that flows through Newcastle Upon Tyne into the River Tyne.
On our weeks holiday in this vibrant city we explored around Newcastle and walked along the banks of the River Ouseburn, nice old industrial building here ,some nice cafe's, its a cool place to just take in Newcastle's rich industrial past ,you can see former warehouse buildings and the like ,its most definitely well worth checking out if you're planning a trip to Newcastle.
