Located down Walker Road in Byker overlooking the River Tyne is Maynard's Building.
This is an eye catching building constructed around about 1880 ,originally an animal sanitation building, a lard warehouse and then a toffee factory, this is what it's known as by locals ,nowadays its office space,its a cool looking building especially at night when illuminated, its most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the Byker area and easy to locate along Walker Road.
