The Dog Bank was probably quite a run down area back in the Victorian/Edwardian era however the area has been redeveloped and it's quite pleasant to explore along the cobbled streets.
There's a small park nearby and some redevelopment with modern offices, apartments and sculptures.
Something a little different to hunt down on your visit to the city.

Dog Bank is a really nice street that brings you up to All Saints Church.
Lots of interesting features along the street both ancient and modern, Trinity House is an ancient and historically important building, Roman walls, modern architecture, modern statue's and finally upto All Saints Church, its a nice peaceful walk,most definitely well worth seeking out if you're planning a trip to Newcastle.
