Went to support my cousin who was doing a gig there. Ordered one of the best burgers I have ever tasted and it was only the basic one on the menu. Cannot comment on the beer as I was driving , but the atmosphere during the set was enthusiastic and friendly. Definitely worth another visit.

On the advice of "locals" we visited The Tyne Bar, located on the Tyne. Top service and atmosphere and a top burger menu. We will definitely come back here, highly recommended!

We came here on the recommendation of our B&B hosts and were really happy we did. Located next to a lovely walk along the river, it's got terrific outdoor spaces for basking and people-watching, and nice indoor spaces for when it starts to rain. It was packed when we arrived but we were able to get some seats on the patio at a long table shared by other guests. The whole patio exuded a nice, relaxed, good-weather, good times vibe, even when it started to rain (happily the liquid sunshine didn't last). We enjoyed a nice Orchard Pig cider and some small plates: the olives, hummus and flatbread, and grilled halloumi. Both were good and elevated the pub grub experience. The service was fast, friendly and efficient and the prices very reasonable. We didn't stay very long but we sure enjoyed the time we had there. Give them a try :-)

This bar has a great choice of artisan ales nice cocktails also it has a great atmosphere and there is often. Live music it over looks the Tyne and the views Tate nice it also has a nice beer garden .the staff are friendly and the decor is in keeping with its surroundings I would recommend this bar

We were very pleased to rediscover this delightful pub, with cheerful and helpful staff. The range of beers were to the taste of all those in our group. Loved it, thank you !

We really enjoyed the atmosphere in the pub good music also . Busy but staff were excellent didn’t have to wait long for a drink . Food menu was good and every thing we had was excellent large portions . Definitely visit again when next in Newcastle.

Delightful pub with a gorgeous suntrap by the river outfront. Very atmospheric and great range of drinks. Well worth the stroll down from the city centre.

Great pub Great staff ..The Guy with the moustache went the extra mile to explain all the different beers and lagers they had .. let me try some tasters and even explained the best way to chop a tree down .. Max I think he was called ! Friendly friendly quirky pub ..The staff make the place !!

Staff seems too miserable to be there. Especially lord farquard with the moustache. Food and drinks are good and nice social environment but if you’re looking for positive staff I’d recommend somewhere else as these lot at Tyne bar are just condescending asf.
