Great bar which we discovered on a recent trip to Newcastle. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and good selection of drinks and food. Whilst we didn't eat the food looked very good! We will be back

Went a few weeks ago with sister and our kids. Pizzas were amazing and staff friendly, however went to go today with a friend and our kids to be told children weren't allowed in. Girl behind bar was rude and so bloody miserable!

Amazing staff, especially the ginger fella behind the bar, (i think he was called John) who gave a welcoming warm reception all round and pulled a perfect pint. Thanks very much, I will be coming back

Warm friendly welcome from the staff, great atmosphere due to no flat screen televisions .Very good selection of beers served by knowledgeable staff in this traditional public house. Highly recommended.

What a find, excellent beers, amazing toasted stotties and beautiful home-made pizzas - at unbelievably low prices - and friendly staff - we shall return!

Really good pub near the Uni. Wife and I had lunch here while waiting for our son at Uni. Massive toasties and great beer. Nice staff too.

Met here for a family get-together and to catch up with some old friends. Great atmosphere and excellent food and drink. The staff were very friendly and the place has a really nice feel about it. Don't get to Newcastle that often these days but the Hotspur will now be my "local" when I do get the chance to come back.

Popped in for a quick drink after shopping, lovely atmosphere and the pub itself is beautifully decorated. Nice and cosy and can imagine great for couples or groups of friends
