We love our small-group Cotswolds Day Tours and Brewery & Pub Tours, but every now and again it's wonderful for us to be able to offer a different itinerary for a private group! Your lovely family had a magical early morning experience at Stonehenge, followed by visits to Bath, Chedworth Roman Villa and Bourton-on-the-Water. You're quite right in saying that these places are somewhat difficult to reach if you don't have your own transport, and especially if you're not used to left-hand driving on our narrow country lanes! We were only to happy to help :-)

It made me laugh out loud because Tom and I are EXACTLY the same: we're not "tour guys" either – and I realise how odd that sounds coming from a couple who run a tour company! When we designed our Cotswolds Day Tour, we knew exactly what we didn't want: no herds of people following a tour guide with a flag in the air, no rushing around with barely enough time to take a photo, no pre-recorded audio or boring commentary from a guide who has no interest in his guests. So we did it differently. On our tours, the maximum group size is just 16 people; we visit 7 different, beautiful locations (but you'll never spend more than 30 minutes in one stretch on our minibus); you have a lot of free time (with maps we provide to give you suggestions of things to do); and our guides are friendly, travel-oriented people with bundles of local knowledge and insights, not waffling historians who will bore you to tears! I'm delighted that you feel we have achieved exactly the kind of tour that independent travellers like us will enjoy! Since the Cotswolds is now your second home, we look forward to welcoming you and your wife back some day! :-)

I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your day with Tom and that you would recommend our tour "unreservedly"! :-D I'm sorry you felt that you didn't have enough time in Chipping Campden - time is always something we're short of as there is so much to see and do in the Cotswolds it's impossible to everything, and we want to cover as much as we can without making you feel rushed. We do spend around an hour in this small village, but if that wasn't enough time then you'll just have to come back to visit us again! :-)
