My sat nav showed this as being in St Johns House.Finally found it at 2 Jury Street.

My 16 year old and I love military history and museums, so we had to add the Fusiliers Museum to the list. It is an interesting one for a wheelchair user, as access is via a stairlift while willing volunteers carry the wheelchair up the other staircase. It is apparently the only solution they were allowed in this listed building (they are now in Pageant House not St John's). The gentleman at the front desk and his young colleague could not have been more helpful. Apart from carrying the wheelchair up, he also asked if my son would prefer not to have the battlefield noises and voices playing during his visit which we gratefully accepted.
The museum itself is small but interesting and gives a very personal view of the soldiers of the regiment through the ages, with personal belongings playing a large role in the exhibits. It makes you feel much closer to the men who fought in the regiment over the years. One of the highlights is a table with WW1 artifacts that you were allowed to pick up and touch, including a handgrenade and a trench periscope. There is also lots of dressing up stuff to play with and sound recordings to listen to. My son called the museum awesome and he has seen a few both here and abroad. Definitely worth a visit.
I also liked the temporary exhibition of silk embroidery made by wounded soldiers. That was less my son's cup of tea.

After initial contact by email requesting help with my family history research, we visited the museum, where we met David who kindly had all relevant information ready for us to view. He was so helpful and the background knowledge he gave us was very interesting, giving us an extremely useful visit! There was a small charge for his help but to me, it was well worth it :)
We will definitely be coming back as we have still more exhibits to view.

I went with my sister to find information about my grandfather & his missing medals who served with the Warwickshire Fusiliers . David at the museum is such an asset here, the information he was able to find out for us is unbelievable, the time he took for us & another family member in Auz is remarkable & we thank him for his time & patience. We were able to look at original records & take pictures for all to see. Anyone who has a family members that served within these regiments & battalions should visit as it’s very informative and he is a font of all knowledge. Ihope they realise what an asset he is to this museum

It's not a large museum but it is packed with so much wonderful information with almost military precision.
Taking visitors from the start of the regiment right through to recent deployments, its a real wonderful experience full of impressive details, stories and artefacts from the regiments history.
My favourite pieces- Field Marshal Montgomery's jacket and infamous beret.
There is also a cool place for adults and kids alike to try on some items of uniform for fun.
Family ticket was £10 and lasts 12 months

My grandfather served with this regiment and his medals are on display in this museum. I contacted the museum at very short notice to let them know I would be visiting and to ask if it was possible to see my grandfathers medals. The museum could not have been more accommodating. What I did not expect was an absolute wealth of knowledge and specific research about my grandfather - this information is simply priceless to us as a family . Whilst a small museum in comparison to others , it is jam packed and there was interactive elements which my children loved . We highly recommend a visit.

The best museum we have ever been to. I visited with my son and his family and there was something for all of us. The staff were so enthusiastic wanting us all to enjoy our visit which we did. We loved the quizzes and being able to touch the guns and military paraphernalia.
The sad things are that this web site still has the old location listed and the new premises is far too small for such a wonderful museum. I question if it is safe for more than a dozen people to be there at any one time.

Having came to Warwick, and being ex-military I was keen to visit the museum.
We were greeted at the door by the curator who on discovering I was ex forces informed me my entrance was free, not that I would have minded the small entrance fee.
The museum covers the 6th Warwicks rise and eventual amalgamation into the RRF.
It even shows a lot of the connection between the regiment and the late Field Marshal Montgomery.
It's not the largest of museums but it is an important part of the town's heritage, the country military heritage and the militarys heritage.
Well worth a visit if you have an hour to spare.

Very interesting and informative visit in a beautiful list building in a lovely part of Warwick, well worth a visit, the displays are fantastic.
