This shop and its owner are a wonderful treasure and resource for Arundel and ALL the reviews exemplify this!
Tripadvisor is brilliant way of ensuring that when you’re happy and content with the product or service and this medium provides the public a chance to support hard working tradespeople.
So often we see some unsatisfied and unidentifiable(!) customers using it to complain hiding under anonymity in the hope that they will demean or damage the business and products. What right does any single individual have to do this? These individuals are easily identified as they have seldom made more than a couple of reviews and usually negative ones.
If you have an issue then speak appropriately to the manager or owner but do not use Tripadvisor to complain.
Finally to step aside from this and use it to undermine the character of a charming elderly gentleman is despicable and frankly cowardly.
We had our first and most wonderful visit to Clive’s super chocolate emporium. What a character, so delightful to engage with…and such fabulous and tasty products.
We strongly recommend you step inside this welcoming little shop and find out for yourselves.

We had a really unfortunate experience here today. What started out as a nice chat with the owner, ended in disappointment when he proceeded to tell my wife and our friends that he didn't believe that women should be allowed to play sport. His reasoning being that women are on earth to please men, and if they play sport then they risk being physically hurt and therefore unable to perform their duty in pleasing men. As a group of gay women we obviously found this extremely offensive. Unfortunately we had already paid for our bits today, but don't plan on going back in a hurry.

Having lived overseas for twenty years I chose Arundel for my first return visit.
The welcome I received from Clive, the owner, in this Tarrant street shop could not have been more pleasant.
His selection of chocolates, fudge and sweets is extraordinary considering the compact nature of the shop, and I walked away with some marvellous gifts for friends, including tins of fudge plus chocolate cat and dog figurines. The shelves behind the shop counter were stacked with the sweets of my childhood but I somehow resisted the flying saucers.
This is the kind of shop that belongs in a town such as Arundel, and is worthy of a visit as much as the castle or the cathedral.

The most amazing chocolates and fudge, with lots to choose from. The lovely man iwho s the owner was very helpful, friendly and amazing with lots of knowledge about the products he sells. I favourite flavour is anything mint, but did buy rose, violet, and lime flavours, A timeless shop in a lovely place. Thank you 😊💜

I visited Castle Chocolates again with my wife and we were met with the warmest welcome. The shop owner is incredibly friendly and helped us select a fantastic box of chocolates. We loved each one but my favourite was the Chilli and Lime! Our box was beautifully wrapped and we also chose some chocolate animals, which looked amazing (and are great value). Another fantastic experience and this really is the best chocolate shop I have ever visited!

Castle chocolates has been on my must visit list for a while, and today I finally got to visit with my mum. We were met with the warmest welcome from Clive and after some testers we selected coffee fudge and sea salt caramel to take home with us (both absolutely delicious). After we got talking we discovered that Clive used to live in the house opposite ours back in the 70s!! Such a small world and it was the highlight of our day.

The shop owner was very friendly and took efforts in his chocolate recommendations. Lovely shop. I love the orange peel and key lime pie chocolate. Will definitely visit it again if I am in Arundel.

Absolutely lovely shop! Fantastic chocolate and fudge, reasonable prices and amazing customer service. I visited on Sunday and was met with the warmest welcome from an elderly gentleman manning the store. He was so friendly I felt compelled to write this review and thank him for doing such a great job. I bought a bag of assorted chocolates and each one tasted amazing with a great range of flavours (I especially liked the lime and chilli). A beautiful shop in a lovely setting.
I highly recommend visiting this shop - a lovely family run store and a really credit to the town.

Throughout the years we have returned to the tiny fudge shop off the high street in Arundel Castle Chocolates time and time again.
There have been occasions where we have gone around the country (even abroad); done day trips or holidays, been disappointed by local fudge elsewhere and stopped by Arundel on the way home to make a special trip to our favourite fudge shop; Castle Chocolates instead. And it never disappoints.
This time was no different, super friendly and knowledgeable service about the products they sell and we have never been anything less than delighted with the goodies we come away with.
Not only is the service and quality premium but so is the selection. More fudge varieties than we could ever try. And the chocolate selection is fantastic too.
Quintessentially British, perfect whatever the weather (though if you’re visiting by car, it’s a walk from parking). And reasonably priced. Castle Chocolates is, by far, the best fudge shop that we have ever visited. It may be small, but it’s one of the best gems of Arundel for sure.

I made a small order on behalf of my partner who wanted to gift some chocolates for Christmas to my mother.
The attention to detail in noticing the address and making sure that the gift was sent correctly to the right person was checked.
I received an email minutes after the order was placed and 5 days before Christmas by Hayley Gardner-Clark Director/Owner of Castle Chocolates of Arundel Ltd.
Noticing that they could deliver it by hand they made an exception and hand-delivered with an extra treat to compensate for the delivery costs.
To summarize the review on the chocolate, my mother was over the moon like a greedy child in a chocolate store. (She loved them)
