Very pleasant time here - vase and shop are lovely, and galleries interesting. Staff very helpful and friendly, and spotless loos. What more could you want?

Always worth visiting when in the south east and another fabulous exhibition - Gwen John. Intelligently curated, informative and wonderful to see so much of her beautiful work brought together.

A well planned and easy access series of galleries. Lighting suitable for the paintings. Well informed and supportive volunteers. A reasonably priced restaurant set in pleasant surroundings. An asset to the cultural life of Chichester.

This is an exceptional place, for outside London. I have seen some great Art here, and it never fails to please. However, I felt the current Exhibition was a bit patchy, and that some of it would have been better left out. The William Nicholson Paintings were a revelation, he goes up, and up ,in my estimation. A wonderful Paul Nash, Edward Burra's were good, as were the Eileen Agar Photos. The later rooms did contain some poor work, not entirely worthy of the earlier exciting stuff.
As I have not been for a while ,I must mention a utterly stunning Painting by Freud, of a young women, on loan. It was worth the drive just to see this .
Very, very much enjoyed my visit yet again.

This was our first visit and we went specifically for the Sussex Artists Exhibition, which did not disappoint. Staff were very welcoming and informative and the venue, despite a busy half-term, was comfortable and viewing was accessible and did not gice a feeling of being overcrowded. All in all a very enjoyable, inspiraitonal and educational visit snd we will be back for future exhibitions.

The staff on the ticket desk were terrific; I had not been able to visit in March when I had originally booked a time / date due to rail strikes and then a chest infection and despite it being a rainy busy Saturday morning , the gentleman on the desk changed my ticket on the spot with great good humour and efficiency.It was worth coming many miles to see such a superb Sussex landscape exhibition . It was beautifully lit and hung and the contemporary art was as intriguing as the big hitters such as Piper , Ravillious and Turner. And do visit the cafe as the delicious food topped off the experience perfectly.

The PALLANT is a local gem set in a beautiful building in the centre of Chichester.Iit has a terrific permanent exhibition and often some very interesting temporary exhibitions. Always worth a visit.

Wonderfully inspiring exhibition packed with amazing work, plus an excellent smaller free exhibition - always enjoy visiting. Great value, lovely cafe and an amazing bookshop. A real gem in beautiful Chichester.

Our current major exhibition is 'Virginia Woolf: An Exhibition Inspired by her Writings' but there are a lot of other smaller exhibitions on at the same time as well as collection displays. The full programme is on our website (sorry, I cant include links!)
